He’s going to have to wait till Thursday/Friday to know

When is the last time WDW actually experienced hurricane force winds? I’m not talking about former hurricane passing over or sideswiping I mean 74mph winds? It’s not that common.

Still suprised they haven’t announced early closures tomorrow, TS winds could hit as soon as 8am Wed, ops needs time to hurricane ready the parks.

Not sure that’s going to work but hey you gotta do what you can do.

Traffic is normal at the moment (you know bad but not unexpectedly bad.) I would evacuate into Georgia though, not Orlando.

This storm could top Katrina, look at these forecasted storm surges.

Not saying it will, Orlando is essentially guaranteed to expedite Hurricane conditions.

If the eye passes just south of Orlando, Orlando will see the worst of the flooding.

Well final name change complete, Milton is now a hurricane.

Which is why I’m leaving Tuesday morning instead of my planed Wed morning.

I’m not sure why people would come down willingly not try to leave. My biggest fear is giving up my hotel room and rental car on Tuesday and then my flight not taking off. With the system slowing down, it seems less likely.

One important thing to note is today is the first day the hurricane hunter planes will be flying over Milton. By the end of the day today the forecast cone will be narrower and timing will be more locked. This is probably the last day any major changes will occur to the forecast.

I expect parks to close early Tuesday (5-6pm) no night shows, no MNSHP.
