News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

It's not that I don't like Universal - they have some good stuff and I enjoy going there from time to time. It's just that, at least to date, there's not enough that I am interested in to occupy me for a week. There are certainly some great rides - most of the Potter stuff, Mummy, etc., but...

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

Indeed. And I'd say that Josh is the first Parks chair in a long time that doesn't have contempt for the parks. Think about it: Chapek Staggs Rasulo Pressler Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. He's also relatively young at 53. Walden is 59, making her 61 in 2026 when Iger hypothetically...

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

Disney CEOs by age: Roy Disney: 36 Donn Tatum: 58 Card Walker: 60 Ron Miller: 50 Michael Eisner: 42 Bob Iger: 54 Bob Chapek: 60 Bob Iger: 72 So only 2 Disney CEOs have been under 50 - Roy Disney (who was a founder so that kind of doesn't count) and Eisner. If D'Amaro got it, he'd be a...

News The Walt Disney Company Board of Directors Extends Robert A. Iger’s Contract as CEO Through 2026

I don't see Pitaro as a serious choice. Nor Bergman. I think it's a runoff between Walden and D'Amaro, with Walden being the favorite. She has a good track record with content, and has had good success at both Fox and ABC. She's a creative with business acumen, which may be just what Disney...

News Reedy Creek Improvement District and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District

You're right of course. However the new law that created CFTOD seems to forget about that provision: My guess is that whenever the board decides to raise their tax rate, Disney will sue.

MSEP ending at Disneyland on Sept 1, WDW return in 2023?

A sky parade would be fine.... For another park. I could see it work well in Epcot or DHS. Maybe even AK. MK needs a traditional light parade going down Main Street. I don't care if it's MSEP, PTN, or something completely new. I just want lights going down Main Street again.

Or maybe just we know more now than we used to and are able to help people with different challenges to be successful, where in the past we incorrectly chalked it up to character flaws.

Rider swap also exists for people who may not want to go on the attraction (i.e. find it frightening). That's the case for us - my youngest does not want anything to do with ghosts, so we have rider swapped HM.

If I recall, the tap point color for a DAS selection is different than the regular color - and it flashes (3 times I think). If you can get a view of the tap point, you might be able to count DAS users, although you wouldn't necessarily get their family members because those tap the same as G+.

I think the issue would be if they denied it to people who showed up at the park and asked for an accomodation. They can utilize the service for pre-booking DAS, but they have to have a mechanism to allow people who show up to request an accommodation.

Absolutely not abuse. Unless you start limiting people from getting in the standby line for major attractions, you cannot under the ADA limit the use of DAS to only once per day. Keep in mind, that you can only have one DAS at a time, so if RotR is a 2 hour wait, then you can't get another DAS...

How would the data show that? They don't have a way of tracking regular standby use by DAS users.

Sure, go ahead and increase the standby line wait time by 50%.

Lightning Lane at Walt Disney World

This is so true. My youngest child has a diagnosed disability where where standing in line in a crowd for a long length of time becomes too much. He can handle maybe 15 to 20 minutes, but as the time creeps up he starts getting extremely anxious, upset and panics. Has to do with being an...

But if I just had Genie+ I could do that. Let's say I had gotten a HM return time for 11:00 a.m. and I got my DAS pass at 10 AM for a return at 11. Now, we all know Peter Pan lasts about 90 seconds, so if I had standby and Genie+ I could easily get in line at 10, wait for an hour, then go make...

Unsure who to vote for regarding the Walt Disney Co. Board

Possibly, but the selling of those shares was set in motion a long time ago and couldn't really be stopped.
