Disney has walked back many a theme park announcement for Disneyland in the past. They have for many of their parks. Until I read a closing date and see a bulldozer, I am not convinced.

I am not pretending it is not happening. I am flat out saying its not going to happen. Unless you have an exact closing date for Disneyland's Splash you would like to share with the rest of us you have been hiding. No? Didn't think you did.

What has not yet been done can still be avoided. It is too late for Florida. The same can't be said for Disneyland.

They rethemed the duplicate Tower of Terror in DCA to Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout and left the original in Florida alone. Whose to say they don't do the same thing here? Rethem the duplicate Splash in Florida and leave the original in California alone.

A while ago it was rumored before Iger took back over the reason the ride had not been closed and no closing date was announced was because Ken Potrock was doing everything he could behind the scenes to keep Disneyland's version of Splash open with Florida being the only park to get the retheme.

I can't wait to read what your excuse is going to be when April and May both come and go and the ride is not only still open with no closing date announced but more of the broken effects have been fixed.

Gee, Indiana Jones is open, Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is open, Toontown is open and still no closing date announced for Disney's Splash Mountain. I could have sworn people here said they did not want to close Splash until all those were up and running. Well...here we are and Splash is...
