    MNSSHP Costume Thread

We did haunted mansion a few years ago. I was the opera singer at the end of the graveyard scene, my older daughter was the bride and my other was one of the maids, my husband was a hitchhiking ghost. This year we are thinking Peter Pan.

How are the crowds so far?

I hate to be a bubble burster but I'm here now and this place is far from a ghost town. There are tons of people milling around, more than I've ever seen on any September trip. Hopefully next week will be better for you.

    UGH!!

I don't really use touring plans any more, they always start changing their numbers and recommendations at the last minute. I would check out easywdw.com, I like the explanations he uses for the parks he recommends.

    Thinking of November trip

We went the week before Thanksgiving last year (left the Sunday before Thanksgiving). The crowds definetly picked late in the week with the arrival of the folks coming for the holiday. The weather however was absolutely phenomenal, low 80s all week and very little humidity. It makes it much...

    Potter Package

Keep in mind they do have the stay more save more discount as well as aaa discounts, so you probably won't be paying rack rate. I was looking into an annual pass but the numbers didn't work out in my favor for a three night stay in September.

My 3-17-12 one-day WDW Trip Report

Thanks for your report, it sound like you had an excellent day and did quite a bit! I agree, it was very nice to see your enthusiasm. After many complaining threads (which I don't have a problem with either really), its still really heartening to see someone having such a great time- thanks for...

    Just Booked November 9th,Crowds?

The crowds will be higher than September, but the excellent weather makes it very manageable. Jersey Week and Veterans Day weekend are around that time, so that drives the crowds up.

    Fort Wilderness

If you mean the Wilderness Lodge, the rooms are a little bigger than a moderate, but not as big as rooms at the Poly, GF or Contemporary. Your stuff will probably fill up that room as well. It depends on how big your family is, but I personally feel that the prices at the Art of Animation are...

    Fort Wilderness Cabins

Definitely check out the camping board over at the disboards, there are quite a few helpful threads over there. They are cliquey but have lots of info.

Darien Lake's rollercoaster accident, can it happen at Disney?

I can't help but wonder if this guy was actually committing suicide by going on this coaster. It just defies logic that he would ride without any prosthetic legs and expect to be held in by a lap bar.

Coral Reef, Garden Grill and Rose and Crown. And Hoop-Dee-Doo.

Over on the disboards someone said a CM said they would start booking HDDR on June 27. I gave up a few weeks ago when I had to go through all the questions only to be told after 5 minutes that "they weren't loaded in the system."

Full photo coverage of the very first appearance and welcoming ceremony of Duffy

I wonder if they will attach the little symbols to Duffy's body like they did with the mask? I showed my daughters (7 and 10) the pic of Duffy and as expected they were totally excited to meet him and worse yet, buy the stuff. I told them to start saving their money now! :zipit:

Full photo coverage of the very first appearance and welcoming ceremony of Duffy

I think the Duffy thing is really bad- but I know my kids will probably love him, want to meet him and buy his stuff. I guess that what Disney really wants after all! Is the mask making definetly discontinued? I was wondering when they brought Duffy in they might do something else. My kids...

My onsite Disney days are coming to an end

I don't blame you- $7000 is a lot for one vacation. I love staying onsite, but I've been eyeing the Wyndham Bonnet Creek resort (it's right next to the Caribbean Beach). They have really nice 2 bedroom condos that rent for around 850 a week. I've been reading this thread on the disboards called...

    AKL confusion

Just a note on the view: if you are regular club level you will have definetly have a savannah view. Only DVC club/concierge has the pool view. They call it a standard room because of its size. We just returned from AKL club level and it was wonderful. The morning breakfast was a real plus for...

Who the hell hired Tom Bergeron to do this? He is awful!

Which attraction would you like to see go?

I voted for Tomorrowland Speedway. That is the absolute worst. I can see at HersheyPark or Six Flags, but that real estate could be used for so many better things than those stinky polluting boring silly vehicles. That is one attraction that could be bulldozed tomorrow and I'd be happy!

    Worst Meal at Disney

1900 Park Fair for dinner. I booked this because I thought the stepsisters would be fun and the food at least average. The stepsisters and stepmother were good, but the food was abyssmal. The carving station meat was completely bland and not seasoned. The floor around the buffet was dirty and...
