Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind preview notification thread

Just saw the message that was sent at 9:35 am. But both annual passholder and DVC slots are all full (ie cannot even enter the queue). If they expected more requests than they have slots, they should have had a announcement a day ahead of when the queue would open up for random allotment. Or...

Just a bit of tax trivia: Most states will tax you on income that is considered earned in their state whether a resident or not. California goes after out of state professional sport players for their per game imputed income for games played in California. Technically if you go to most states...

Yep I agree, the phase 1 people are the biggest risk takers in the trial(s). They only have animal, lab, theoretical work, and past research to gauge the risk they are taking. If it goes south really bad in a big way, they (about 360 participants) are the ones to suffer those consequences...

The good news for my wife and I is that I tried at a random time on a random day a few weeks ago...and I got a dining package on Christmas Eve! But yeah the planning and execution (IT and phone) was not too good. Perhaps they could have done a random waiting pool people could join ahead of...

Yep tolerance is relative. I can tell when people are from the north and not from Florida. They are in shorts when it is in the 60s here, while Floridians are in jackets and long pants. Here is a historical impromptu test of cold tolerance: on what was thought to be a "wild boy"...

There is an interesting set of books on modern food, taste, nutrition, omnivore physiology, and the various research into a very complicated system called the human body. Written for the layman, but really good data ( my relative who is a neurologist ( and owns a firm with physcians ) bought the...

As some know here I am part of the Pfizer Phase 3 Trial. Second shot Sept 2020. Second shot had some chills, body ache, tiredness, and a mild 100.3 fever. I also got moderate Covid (likely Delta) in mid -June 2021. (Lost 20 lbs two weeks. 102.9 fever 1 week, spo2 dropping into 80s, brain fog...

For those interested, A few days old lancet real world study shows that Pfizer+Booster is much more effective in a variety of metrics against Delta than just two shots of Pfizer. (Study done in Israel). A booster definitely decreases hospitalizations, severe disease, and death. Vaccinated...

Is Victoria and Alberts ever coming back?

Someone (at WDW) told me recently it would be about another year. I do not think they just meant the year 2022, rather 12 more months or more. I had asked and was told, but honestly had so many other things on my plate at that time that I do not now remember the exact wordings or time, other...

When I went on Remy’s Ratatouillie Adventure early this month I did for a moment ( when they had smells ) lower my mask off my nose to breathe in the smells of food they add to some scenes. I am sure the experience will be better when masks are optional someday. The mask definitely filters out...

The booster reduces the breakthrough cases compared to not having the booster. So there will always be a chance of breakthrough cases but less with booster. Especially as effectiveness of vaccine wanes over time.

Pfizer and others are on trials with a delta specific booster. But with the wild-specific (ie original) booster in its Phase 3 trial showing in the high 90s effectiveness in a delta real world environment, there is less justification in pushing the delta specific version through the approval...
