Bring a stroller for all kids under what age?

Not gonna lie, my 6 year old needed a stroller. She's little, so it was passable from the judgment standpoint. She desperately needed the rest and we couldn't leave the park due to being blocked in by dinner and lunch reservations. I'll never do *that* again.

The Big Reveal - More Ideas?

I'll be repeating the surprise on the last day of school. I booked a 5 day trip the day school lets out ;) Not telling either of my girls until we get to the airport.

Trip Report Surprise Trip - October 2014

We're definitely planning the next one way in advance. I'm looking at June this year. I hear there's actually pretty moderate crowds in early-June. We'll tell the girls that day too as we drive to the airport ^_^

Trip Report Surprise Trip - October 2014

Day 2 Now something I do regret is booking a 7:30am reservation at Ohana. I love Lilo & Stitch and who can pass up an opportunity to eat family-style eggs and bacon am I right? Problem is, my daughter didn't have enough time to recoup from last night's activities. I deeeeeeply regret booking...

Trip Report Surprise Trip - October 2014

Day 1 The next morning she was all kinds of excited! We were doing MK in the morning, then hopping onto the monorail to do Epcot in the afternoon (for Akershus). My daughter truly realized where she was when we turned the corner onto Main Street USA. It was practically empty, because we were in...

Trip Report Surprise Trip - October 2014

The Surprise I surprised my daughter with a trip to Disney World last Thursday! She had no idea this was happening until she came home and saw balloons lining the walkway to our house and decorations all over to be like Cinderella's Castle. At first she wasn't sure what was going on, then it...

Tips on going with small kids?

I would get a double. I just got back with my 6 year old and even though she no longer naps, she was pooped by 3pm or so. I wanted to avoid having to lug back to the resort for a few hours since we had dinner reservations a couple of hours later, so I rented a stroller and she zonked out in it...

Staying at Port Orleans Riverside in 37 days...

Weird. We were there at the same time and I had no problems with the transportation. I was using the East Depot though, so maybe that's it? It seemed the typical rotation was West -> North -> East -> South, so by the time it got to South it was full in a number of cases. I did use the cabs once...

The Big Reveal - More Ideas?

Here's the video! At first she didn't comprehend what was going on, so we had to point-blank explain that we were leaving that minute for Disney LOL!!! I'll do a trip report later this week once I'm done with the pictures :)

    Little girls in princess dresses

Just to revisit this post-vacation: My daughter bought the Belle dress on location and found it to be quite comfortable to wear around all day for two days straight. That said, the OTHER dresses had really scratchy material. The Elsa in particular was horrible. In general, the dresses in a...

Staying at resort, where can I get groceries?

This may help you: http://.com/8-ways-to-get-groceries-for-your-disney-world-trip/ I have some friends going in 2 days and they've done this exact thing!

Show us your MNSSHP costumes!! (and MNSSHP Pics!)

Here's ours! So backstory: My daughter didn't know we were going to Disney until the morning-of. I asked her what she wanted to be for Halloween. She said Elsa (as any 6 year old girl would right?). She then said it would be cool if I was Anna. I made the costume without her knowledge :) I...

    Memory maker

I found it useful, but mostly because I wanted to be in the pictures too. I'm always the photographer and never get in any of the shots. When I took my daughter on a surprise trip last weekend, I made sure to get memory maker. We had well over 200 pictures taken thanks to all the meet and greets...

    Does this plan sound crazy?

You run the increased risk of missing that flight and/or that flight being canceled. I was caught in a situation where I was stranded in Dallas on my way back to Austin. I missed the last flight of the night due to delays with the first flight out of Raleigh and got stranded. I ended up renting...

The Big Reveal - More Ideas?

I plan on doing a trip report complete with the video of her reaction :) I bet she just goes "woah" and is calm. She might squeal, but I'm not putting money on it.

    Does this plan sound crazy?

I think it sounds lovely honestly. I wish I had gotten better flights. I didn't know that you could book separately from the Disney website, so I used them to get flights and UGH... I don't get in til 6pm on our first day!!!
