I think it's unlikely that Disney will ever seriously alter Cinderella Castle. It's too iconic. The castle really does need painting though. In 17 years of visiting WDW, I have never seen the castle look as bad as it does right now. The only time I remember it being seriously faded was in 2006...

I'll be very surprised if this ends up being the case. What would the motivation be? They would still have to pay the performers, regardless of what version of the show is performed. If this does happen, I'll be totally convinced that Disney is just careless and lazy at this point.

I love the smell of the interior of the monorails (at the beginning of the day), the water in POTC, as well as the popcorn smell on Main Street. My favorite scent in all of WDW still has to the Polynesian Lobby!
