    First Ride???

Magic Kingdom - Pirates of the Carribean Epcot - Spaceship Earth MGM - Rockin' Rollercoaster or Tower of Terror (whichever has the shorter line)... Animal Kingdom - Tough to be a Bug Last Ride - I make my best effort for Mickey's PhilharMagic the last ride/show I see before I go. It's a...

If you had to choose one day parade and one evening spectacular

All of the evening shows are spectacular. My favorite on its own is Illuminations BUT the SpectroMagic/Wishes duo is tough to beat. Together they make up Disney's most magical night (In my opinion of course).

How strict are they on dining reservations?

I sincerely apologize if you were insulted by my tone, or I made a judgment off the initial post without having the whole story. In all honestly I hope you have a great trip with your family!

How strict are they on dining reservations?

I don't feel like anyone here should have to tell you why. Disney already told you absolutely not. If you wanted to know why you should have asked the representative. It seems like you want people here to validate your thoughts about trying to get around the rules. If I were in your position I...

    All Star Sports

I have stayed at All-Star Sports my last 3 trips. I have enjoyed it. It's not a deluxe resort but I never expect it to be. The Cast Members are nice, the food court has plenty of options & the rooms aren't a bad place to rest your head at the end of a long day at the parks.

Just returned from a trip to TN and....

You can't go to any other theme park and expect it to compare to Disney. I am including Universal in that. If there was something comparable out there we wouldn't spend thousands and thousands of dollars to go there or hours and hours planning our next trip even if it's not for 2 years...

    Disney Hosting Immigrants' Citizenship Ceremony

Wow - a 5 day thread drift... Isn't about time ReDisniey E-Dew and AEfx got the ruler out and decided this once and for all? :lookaroun

    The Segway Tour at Epcot

The requirements say the 'Signature of parent/guardian required for ages 16 - 17.' It doesn't say that ID or proof of age is needed and I cannot remember if I had to show anything or not. There is a chance of getting hurt. I don't see Disney taking any chances. I'll save my thoughts on the...

    Rank the Parks

    1. Magic Kingdom - 1.5 or 2 days... 2. Epcot - Usually a full day (.5 on 2 days) 3. Animal Kingdom - Never been a full day park for my family. If your family is big on traveling the trails and those kinds of things it could be a most of the day park. 4. I would try to sneak in a few hours or...

    Refurb Petition! WHat the ####?!

I absolutely understand your frustration. It's nice to read that you aren't going to let it spoil your trip. This is a Disney fan board. I bet most of the people saying 'It has to happen some time or someone's vacation' have had a favorite attraction, restaurant, show or some combination of...

    Disney Dining Plan

My family and I have used the Dining Plan on past visits. As others have mentioned it was nice having everything taken care of (paid for), and it also gave us an opportunity to try restaurants we would have never tried without the plan. We could probably eat for less without the plan but we...

    Disney Hosting Immigrants' Citizenship Ceremony

What a very cool event and way for the new citizens to celebrate what I am sure is a dream come true for them. I read in an article posted on the Miami Herald's website that the ceremony will be for more than 1,000 people. Another site said that it will take place 'in the morning.' That is as...

Help! Crocs have Taken Over Disney!

This article was linked from the headlines at AOL's website. It's an opinion piece on Disney Crocs. The author visited the parks over the weekend. http://www.styledash.com/2007/06/19/help-crocs-have-taken-over-disney/ I have no opinion on Croc's either way. Please don't shoot the messenger...

    A Trip In september

cofloyd - If I remember correctly the luggage tags etc. arrive 2 or 3 weeks prior to your departure date. AEfx - Sending you our luck virtually! We have been extremely lucky. The restaurants I remember walking up to were Plaza @ MK, Rose & Crown @ Epcot and Sci-Fi @ MGM. We were able to get...

A Ride that sticks in your mind

I was in 5th grade, my sister was in 6th and we had been to Disney a few times before but this was the first trip we were old enough to remember. We were walking onto Horizons and I spotted a bag of voban (which I only knew from when a kid would have stomach issues in the hall at school) so I...

    A Trip In september

I've gone in September 3 or the last 4 years & as the others have said the crowds are pretty light. It seems to have gotten a little more crowded each year, but that means a 10 minute wait for POTC rather than it being a walk on. It is hot but that makes the water parks that much better. I've...

    Tinkerbell movie

I'm not sayin' - I'm just sayin' http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=196014 "Another issue was the much talked about "The Tinkerbell Movie". Lasseter essentially said that the movie was awful, and that it needed to be completely redone if it had a chance to be successful. After...

'Dubailand' aims to be Middle East Orlando

I found this story on Yahoo! this morning. I know it has been discussed before, but I could not find the other threads. It's not completely Disney related so please feel free to move or close if necessary. I am not posting it to start a debate about the potential quality, attendance, whether...

I got to ride the Subs!!!

I happened upon this article on USA Today's Web-Site and thought I would share. I did not see it posted yet. ANAHEIM, Calif. — Walt Disney Co. Monday launched a "Finding Nemo" submarine ride with underwater animation at its Disneyland park, in an effort to use its Pixar film division to bolster...
