USO just has zero flow to it at all. The only area with any cohesion is the minions area and even that looks at least from videos to be kinda out of place right at the entrance. I like men and black, diagon alley and mummy, but I really can leave the rest of that park. I do get why they’re...

Wouldn’t tower of terror count given the twilight zone IP? Though you could probably remove the twilight zone theme and keep it as “haunted cursed hotel” and it wouldn’t hurt the ride experience that much

Time will tell. The prequels certainly has a better more cohesive story than the sequels have. But the clone wars show did a ton of heavy lifting fleshing out the prequel into something more well rounded

I disagree. It’s Star Wars. Even if it’s themed after the newer trilogy, the brand still has incredible staying power. I also think the sequels are going to go through the same sort of rehabilitation the prequels did as this generation of kids gets older. I say this as a prequel kid that I...

I mean hey, I just roll down the street to chipotle to get peco bills that’s not nearly as expensive and tastes a lot better than going to PB

The biggest critique which ties into the first part is the excessive downtime it experiences, which is by far the biggest flaw of the ride

I’ve genuinely never been to a local park that has a dark ride with a drop track. I know the tech as a whole isn’t brand new, but the idea of putting a dark ride into a drop tower and simulator all in one is pretty new to me

I’m struggling to find a local carnival that offers its own rise of the resistance. Maybe the funhouse has really gotten a plus up since I last visited?

I think PP is fine for what it is, but holding it up as this monumental achievement 60 years after it was first conceived is….something. Like for all the bellyaching around here about AA’s, the ones in PP qualify in the loosest sense of the term given how limited their movement is

Honestly. I’m thinking the lightsaber the cuts through the elevator, the shuttle trip to the star destroyed and the reveal, the Rey hologram. There’s dozens of things that are more impressive than “cannons moving and the car avoids them” lol

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I actually dislike the model a lot more than what the finished product is looking like. The model truly looks like “we slapped a new ride inside splash mountain” whereas the current progress looks much more like its own thing. Though tbd as to how well the sides blend into the new exterior

I think what frustrates me about these Epcot WS additions is they’ve kneecapped expansion slots for future countries by using them for these rides. Though I guess the odds aren’t great on us getting another country ever at this rate, but it kills the dream of it happening

I think the Epcot version is fine, but the Paris version is vastly superior. My biggest gripe about the area at Epcot is it’s in such an awkward hidden spot from the rest of the park. It really feels like you’re going into a backstage area until you round the corner

Yeah it’s wild that we’re gatekeeping dark rides and singling out 2 examples from 40 years ago as the epitome of dark rides. My favorite ride of all time is the haunted mansion, which is over 50 years old at this point. But that doesn’t mean every single new dark ride has to follow that formula...

Guardians and hagrids are probably even for me personally. They each do a really good job at what they’re going for. My main knock for guardians is the ugly show building honestly. It doesn’t impact the ride experience, but having a big in themed box visible from around the park isn’t great

    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

I’d say Everest might be the best coaster in WDW personally. Probably the most “intense” of their offerings and has some pretty innovative features, particularly from the time it was built. Uni also is more willing to create intense roller coasters that will appeal to a smaller audience. Not...

News Tiana's Bayou Adventure - latest details and construction progress

I really enjoy the look of the exterior. It’s a much different vibe than splash for sure, but I’m glad it’s going to have its own unique look and not just slap a few murals and new animatronics to call it a day. Really seems like they’re putting a good amount of effort to make this its own...

News 'Beyond Big Thunder Mountain' Blue Sky concept revealed for Magic Kingdom

That’s a good point. And it would take some heat (pun intended) off of Tiana on a summer day.

Would also be kinda weird to have two water rides next to each other on the same side of the park. Though in theory I’d love something like GRR at WDW somewhere. Kali is so short and pales on comparison to GRR and Popeyes at universal

    Rumors. Musings. Casual.

I would also say Rise is up there in that realm of game changing. The obvious issue here is reliability of the ride; I’m fairly convinced that management fast tracked them on this and didn’t let them work out the kinks during the design phase, leading to it being plagued with breakdowns. But...
