    Our Simply Magical Trip Report

Nice report. I love reading these things, but they make me remember how far October is. We are not staying at Shades of Green, but are getting our tickets through them. How was your experience with them?

    Refurbs finishing early?

Maybe a soft opening, but I wouldn't count on it. :( We usually go in May and were targeting that week, but had some issues that pushed our vacation back a bit. May is my favorite time to go though. If the ride is still down, look at the bright side, it's a reason to schedule another trip.

Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party

Mine too. Fly in, check in at hotel, grab some grub, hit MK for the event. Should be a great first night. Can't wait to see my daughter's face. She has no idea we are going and she loves Halloween.

Outside of the last couple of days, do these sell out?

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Question Please?

What time are you allowed into the park for MNSSP...assuming you don't spend the day in MK?

    Onsite versus Offsite?

One of these days we are going to try on site, to see what we are missing. I enjoy offsite. We can stay at a great condo (3 bedrooms, full kitchen, wash/dryer, patio), park tix, plane tix, and car for a lot less than a comparable Disney hotel. At the end of the day, the kid can crash in her...

    What's not to be missed?

My advice...with that much time, just relax and don't rush through anything.

Oh, sorry, you're only Stand By.

I don't want to just "get the ride over with". But I hate standing in line...especially with a little kid. Besides standing in line for 45-60 minutes means missing out on the rest of the park. So if it means missing out on a queue that I have already seen then so be it. But that doesn't mean...

WDW Isn't Perfect, But I'm Okay Now

As long as my little girl is having a good time and we are making good family memories then I am happy. Life is what you make it. I think it is entirely unhealthy to be doom and gloom. In fact, if all that I saw was negative at the parks then there would be no way that I would spend as...

Oh, sorry, you're only Stand By.

Don't like it...don't use it...don't complain when other people do.

When family or Friends joke about your love for Disney

I used to care, but am past it. Lost my grandpa a few weeks ago and my dad had to go through a quad bi-pass a couple of months ago. You never know what the future holds. Life is too short. We live responsible and within our means. But we will plan for vacations and have no regrets...

to those who always stay off site

For us it boils down to the rooms. Having a separate living room and the kid having her own bedroom is great for letting us unwind while the kid crashes after a day at the park. It helps to give us that relaxing not in the real-world feel to the trip. We have a full kitchen and always stock...

What rehab would "ruin your trip"

My daughter loves Splash. It would ruin a trip if it were down. I wouldn't like it if HM were down. How far in advance do they know when attractions are going to be down? We are shooting for a trip in May.
