As I recall Iger started in 2005 and I don't remember HS being practically gutted until Eisner was well gone. I'm not an expert, but it seemed like more festivals in Epcot really began only lately and the drunkenness wasn't as bad until about six years ago. Magic Kingdom wasn't as crowded all...
I voted Eisner. He brought us Animal Kingdom! It doesn't have the stress and chaos of Magic Kingdom, the emptiness of Hollywood Studios nor the drunkenness of Epcot. I like the unique souvenirs they have in Asia and Africa and how friendly the cast members are. It reminds me of the early 90's...
I am glad they will still care for the animals, but guests will no longer be educated. My family and I always used to go there and talk to the animal experts to learn.
That gives me another good reason to buy a SeaWorld pass. I know that Blackfish was a misstep, but at least someone cares about the animals. The possibility that they are favoring IP and rides over conservation and endangered animals makes me sick. They don't learn from their mistakes, going...
It's that season again...the Village Beatniks' last performance was on September 25, Off Kilter's last performance was on September 30, and The Banjo Brothers and Bob's last performance was October 1. Soon there will be nothing left to cut.
Did anyone else notice that MK is not open past 8:00 PM all January? I know that's slow season, but Epcot is the only park open past then. It seems a little odd to me, personally.
It sounds like you found "Cancer Row." I agree 100% that this was a definite mistake. This location is actually a relocated smoking section that used to be between Africa and Pandora. My family and I used to eat in the surrounding area (Harambe Market, etc.) and now we cannot for this very...
It's ironic that this thread was created because my husband and I were just discussing this today as we were coming home from AK. My family and I were in Zuri's Sweet Shop because it was raining fairly heavily, and we looked out one of the windows. Outside there was a man using one of the...
As a Red Sox fan since I was 8 years old and a Walt Disney fan since my first time at 15 you truly spoke to my soul. I'm now 59. Great analogy. I miss the days of listening to Eddie Andelman on the radio...
I agree completely. To be more specific, the Platinum and Gold will be angry. The lower tiers keep getting more and more: three extra weeks, Toy Story Land opened a day early, and they have the rest of the summer for only $89.
Just curious...where did you find the information above regarding the number of block-out dates for each Park? I've been trying to find this information with no luck. I received the email but the information I'm able to access is limited. Last night, we even went to Guest Services and spoke...
I wouldn't hold my breath! Based on "experience", these opportunities offered to the lower tiers are ALWAYS jumped on and the crowds quickly become excessive. Even the traffic on I-4 becomes intolerable.
