    Hotel Advice??

The Hyatt at MCO is the best! Besides being easy to get into and out of in regards to flights and the DCL Busses, it also has a partnership with DCL ... if you tell them you are going on a Disney Cruise, you can leave your big luggage in your room at the Hyatt and it magically shows up at your...

    What did you do?

@dreamfinder Congrats to you and your family on your little one! 4.33 miles at a 10:20 p/mile pace this morning ... felt good and could have pushed harder or run longer if I had the time :)

    What did you do?

After a long weekend of yard work ... my legs were already tired this morning when I went to go run (and surprisingly a little sore)! Pushed out 4.23 miles at a 10:32 p/mile pace ... starting Wednesday, I plan on ramping up the speed a bit to get back to my sub 10 minute mile pace again...

    Advice on flights

Just another tidbit of info ... if you fly in and stay at the airport Hyatt, let them know that you are going on the cruise! You can leave your bags in the room and they 'magically' will be delivered to your stateroom ... saves the hassle of dragging around bags for the next day :) My wife and...

    Anyone on the Fantasy recently...

They were when we were on the Eastern Caribbean cruise from September 21-27 ... we got a ticket in D Lounge the first day on the ship and then the ticket told us what time to go to Animator's Palette to meet them. My son loved both of the characters ... he didn't want to leave :)

    What did you do?

After a few days fighting back a cold after the half, I finally got back running today ... 4.31 miles at a 10:26 p/mile pace. Given there is the potential for snow tonight ... wanted to get the run out of the way nice and early :)

    What did you do?

4.17 miles at a slower than normal 10:47 p/mile pace ... felt good to get the legs moving after Sunday ... broke up the lactic acid build up and feel really good overall :) Hope all the other weekend racers are recovering well!

    What did you do?

So yesterday was the Princeton Half Marathon in Princeton, NJ ... start time was at 7am ... ugh! It was about 40ºF and gusty, much like it was across the rest of the NorthEast. Here is a brief race report with some pictures as well ... The race itself took you past homes of famous people in...

    What did you do?

With the half marathon on Sunday, wanted a nice slow paced run in ... 3.87 miles with a 11:37p/mile pace ... felt great. Only worry for Sunday is the cold/wind they are predicting ... I sweat quite a bit, so I'm hoping that the wind isn't to raw. Oh well ... see you on the other side! I'll...

    What did you do?

4.23 miles today at a 10:38 p/mile pace. As mentioned above, not happy about the possibility for snow this weekend. The Princeton Half Marathon I'm running is on Sunday morning starting at 7am ... it will be frigid! I guess the only compensation is that I can run it, get home and get...

    What did you do?

That's what happened with me ... I was told the constant pounding 'flattens' your foot out in some ways, so it can get longer or wider depending on the person and their weight. In my case, my foot got longer I a 12 shoes size and got a 13 running shoe ... on Saturday when I was measured (with...

    What did you do?

4.36 miles at a 10:19 p/mile pace ... felt great. Friday I decided that my leg/knee problem was related to my shoes ... they had about 391 miles on them and being Nike Free's (minimalist), that was a lot of wear for those types of shoes. Decided to go to Road Runners and get 'Shoe Dogged'...

    What did you do?

After a weird couple of days, I wanted to make sure that I got my run in today to test my leg. As I mentioned, while running Wednesday, my leg got stiff and then my knee started hurting ... then it went away. In the evening at home, my leg started bothering me again and almost all day...

    What did you do?

4.12 w/avg pace of 10:55 p/mile ... not satisfied with my workout today. Had something unusual happen to me ... stretched/warmed up as normal, got going at about a 10 minute pace. At 1.5 miles in, my right leg really stiffened up and it felt awkward to run/walk ... pushed through it and by 2.5...

    First trip and rain

@jencor If it makes you feel any better, our cruise time frame was the same way ... the week of Sept 20-27 they called for rain mostly everyday and all day. At the end of the trip, the only time it rained was right before the sail away party and when we are at St Thomas ... and that was only...

    What did you do?

    What did you do?

Firstly thanks to all the replies about the question in my last post! Already halfway through Galloway ... next time I'll go with Higdon I think. The good thing is that with the Dopey ... I just want to have some fun and finish on the last day ;) With that said ... Saturday was 17 miles at at...

    What did you do?

7 miles walking today as per the Galloway plan ... ugh. It felt like forever at a pace of 15:52 p/mile. One good thing to note is that my p/mile pace is under 16 minutes per mile so if anything happens during the first 3 days of the Dopey ... I can always walk it ;) Tomorrow is 17 miles...

second cruise, what did you do better/different

We are going on our second cruise in May ... but this is our list so far :) - Booked a room on the starboard side, so we can see the fireworks from our Verandah (with a little one, he was out at 10:45 so we missed them this past trip). - Have dinner at Remy ... We only had Palo on the last trip...
