"The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" Question

Ok so I have finally started reading "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World". I already read Birnbaum's, and now I'm going through this book, picking up as many tips for our trip as I can.
My question is that this book keeps throwing touring plans down your throat. I'm only in the first 60 pages and MAN I wish I had a dollar for everytime the site and touring plans on their site are mentioned. LOL
Are the touring plans REALLY that great? Has anyone here used them?

LOL!! Well that is awesome!! I know my girls will want to stop and look at things along the way, though... :\ And so will I. :ROFLOL: I am going to try to stick to it as much as possible though to see as much as we can on our days in the parks. :D

On the same day that I detailed in my previous post we had enough time to stop and take a bunch of photos while following the plan. We did not run from attraction to attraction, but we did take a fairly direct route and enjoyed the sights as we walked. We just didn't go into the shops. For example we stopped to get pictures of different shops or anything we found interesting. And we even did the obligatory trying to pull the sword from the stone pictures of the boys individually and then trying a little team work. So you can have success without rushing through the attractions.

If you're visiting during the busy times of year (Christmas week, spring break, July, etc.), the touring plans are worth their wait in gold. If you're visiting on a random Tuesday in January, you don't really need them.

I completely agree! We wouldn't do Christmas @ Disney without them. Our time at Disney is the week before Christmas (including Christmas day) and the parks are at their max. Using the touring plans, we rode everything on the list and had time to ride everything again. The most time spent in line was 30 minutes.
