Government rates

Does anyone know if Disney offers government employee rates on their rooms? I know you can get AAA rates. :wave:

Never heard of gov employee rates. Just military. I think I read that government employees can use the military offerings on Disney cruises, tho.

As sweetpee said, it's only members of the military. If you're a civilian DoD employee you're eligible to stay at Shades of Green and get the military discounted tickets through them.

Discounts during conventions...

Disney does offer government employees, other than military, discounts but this is typically only during conventions and if the convention has negotiated such a deal. I will be attending a convention in early 2011 and I was able to secure a room rate lower than the convention rate because I was a government employee. Keep in mind that you may or may not have to show proof of your employment, typically with some sort of employer issued ID, when you check in. Good luck. :sohappy:
