Trip Report Heigh-Ho, Heigh-Ho it’s off to TR’ing we go!!

And I swear, before anyone thinks I’m biting off @wdisney9000’s title I’m not!! I had the title in my mind while I was on the plane. Imagine my surprise when I opened up this app & saw his latest!! I debated but it was hard enough for me to come up with that title much less pick another one. @wdisney9000 I hope you’re ok with this!! And more importantly now that I know we’re both here at the same time I hope we get to meet up again!!

Ok, here we go!!

Here’s the crew(in the elevator-interesting place for a pic) when we first arrived here an hour ago!!

Leaving cold, dreary Pittsburgh behind!!

In a much warmer climate!!

We have a 1BR in The Springs section. Literally right across the street from the main building. Perfect!!

Check out the new soap/lotions!!

We headed to bell services to pick up our groceries & when I looked at the app I saw that they canceled our order!! I placed it again & it should be delivered this evening. I don’t understand why but the silver lining is that I took off the hand soap now that Disney has liquid in the room. We normally always order a liquid one so it saved us a few bucks!!

I must say that it was quite hot today.

I wanted to walk around WS more but the heat took its toll on me. I grabbed a beer from Rose & Crown.

Command Performance was due to start a show so I figured I’d just watch them before I headed to dinner. The only problem was that there was not a shady spot to be had. The sun was so strong & I felt like I was boiling. After the show I made my way to dinner. I felt delirious by the time I got there. After a bit in the AC I felt much better.

I liked this shirt but I can’t possibly fit it in my suitcase!!

Tried to enjoy some topiaries along the way.

Kermit is one of my favorites!!

At least the rest of the gang had a breeze!!

I about fell over(& not from the heat)!! Look what my sister bought!!

The crew stayed up front to cash in on some more LL’s while I headed to the back in search of the newest internet sensation for E & H.

On my way I admired one of my favorite sights of the Flower & Garden Festival.

E said if there were a lot for me to wait until later to get them but the way people were buying them up I knew there was no time like the present. It’s a spill proof margarita glass. The woman who checked me out asked me if I heard about them on the internet(which E did). She said they’re selling like crazy!!

Guardians is back up & running so I’m hoping they were able to make it all the way through this time!!

Orca makes these (minus the Epcot branding) and they sell them at Buc-ee’s!
I’ve gifted them a few times.
They also make a martini version - I’ve gifted that even more (much easier to walk your martini around the cul de sac with a lid! )

Dinner was at San Angel. We didn’t wait long after our reservation time to be called.

We started out with a few appetizers-chips & salsa, guacamole with some sort of chips.

I got shrimp tacos but asked for flour tortillas instead of corn-I’m not a fan of them.

E, JSR & J all had some variation of tacos too!! H had chicken enchiladas & T had a cesar salad with chicken.

We all enjoyed our meals & were happy to get a break from the heat!!

I think the trash cans look so cute!!

They had decided to ride Guardians on our way out. E & I walked to the front & said we’d meet them there. We sat here for a bit. I heard so many kids commenting about “the monkey in the tree”. They all were excited about it!!

On the way back I asked J what song they got. His response, “burn baby burn”!!

We had thought about going to MK for a bit but ultimately we were all too tired to go. T & J had some birthday cake.

A nice woman had approached me & asked if we were going to be here for a few more days. They are leaving tomorrow & she had some extra groceries that she didn’t want to go to waste. She gave me some pop, applesauce, crackers & bananas. That was so kind of her!!

I went to Artist’s Pallete for dinner. R had the meatloaf there awhile back & really enjoyed it so I figured I’d give it a try. It was really good!! My only gripe is that you have to order/pay then sit at the table & wait for your food. So much for quick service. It took 17 minutes from the time I paid for it to get it. And they weren’t busy.

Wow!! My apologies. I just stumbled across this & realized I never responded. Looking at my last few comments I’m thinking it had something to do with that monstrous snow we got along with the 30+ days of below freezing temps. Brutal winter & it’s not over yet!! Low of 32 on Monday. Yet high of 76 Sunday. Gotta love Pittsburgh weather!!

Flower and Garden is definitely my favorite of the festivals, and I want to make it a must do next year. Unfortunately, I couldn't work out the time this year to go, but, depending on the dates, might be making it to Food and Wine!

Currently I’m at Baseline for the 2nd time today(have I said it’s hot)!! R said it’s bc my blood is still think from our brutal winter(& it was in the 30’s when I talked to him earlier) & I just can’t handle it!!

Currently having a cool beverage in the AC-just not at our favorite table. That’s ok, we got it when we rope dropped earlier.

Let’s rewind to this morning. I know I’ve neglected to talk about this in the past but considering what happened this trip(& I used to think my sister was my friend)I feel the need to bring this up. So, when R is with us he always brings a Bluetooth speaker & blasts music while everyone is getting ready. There’s always a “theme” for each day(hair metal, boy bands, country etc). It drives me absolutely insane. As energetic as I am I hate getting out of bed more than anything-no matter how much sleep I’ve had. T agrees with me that R & his Bluetooth first thing in the morning are way too overstimulating. And my sister knows how much I despise the Bluetooth mornings.
Since R’s not here what did she do? Bring her own Bluetooth Of course everyone got a kick out of it but T & myself. Yesterday was hair metal & today was Boy Band Saturday.

After the concert in our room was over we booked it to HS bc you know we had to RD Baseline!!

E & I stood in line while everyone else cashed in on the first LL of the day.

Then we reunited-at our favorite table!!

Once I saw their ToT pic(before they got to us) I booked them a LL for Star Tours. After we enjoyed Baseline for a bit they headed there while E & I walked around. Then she met up with them for TSM.

I really enjoyed watching this but the sun was beating me up.

After TSM they had some time & they knew I was going to FEA so we met up for the show.

I texted R & told him H is taking his place!!

They headed to Rise but unfortunately it went down. They got some drinks & it came back up shortly thereafter.

Fortunately Rise came back up so they headed there!! I wandered around & took in the sights!!

And stopped for a drink. Again, it’s hot!!

I’m currently on a boat headed to The Boardwalk. They’re using their Slinky LL & will meet me there!!

While on my way to The Boardwalk I saw one of their Slinky Dog photos. E’s didn’t show up.

We met up at the Belle Vue Lounge before dinner.

We headed back outside shortly before our reservation time.

Dinner was at The Cake Bake Shop. I must admit the first time I ate here(I believe it was in June of last year) I was not thrilled in the least. I was very disappointed in my food. In October(I don’t think I did a TR for that trip) H wanted to eat there so I gave it another try. Wow-I left that time with a totally different opinion of the place!! I liked it so much more that time!! I was looking forward to getting the same meal again today!!

We ordered truffle fries & a charcuterie board for appetizers. Both were delicious!!

Then came our meals. I totally ate entirely too much. It’s been almost 3 hours since dinner & I still feel rough from overdoing it!!

J had French onion soup & some of his mom’s salad.

I had the Angel Hair Pomodoro. This is hands down the best pasta dish I have ever had!! It was just as good this time as it was the last time I had it. I ate the whole thing(no wonder I feel the way I do).

H had a salmon salad, T had a chicken salad & JSR had salmon.

Time for dessert!!

What was I thinking?? It was amazing but I couldn’t finish it. Actually, none of us could!!

T was in charge of carrying the leftover desserts!!

We had planned to walk through Epcot & get a bus back to Saratoga. When we got outside there was a misty rain & it was very windy. We decided on an Uber at that point. It arrived within 2 minutes of us requesting it & we were back here in 10!!

Some of us did the walk of shame this morning. Well, actually we all did but H & T aren’t flying out until tonight so they dropped their luggage off & are spending the day at MK!!

We dropped ours off & the bellman offered to drive us to the bridge at DS.

We didn’t have a lot of time but we stopped for lunch at Earl of Sandwich.

I got the Italian.

Then we went to Ghirardelli for a treat.

We walked back to Saratoga & spied a croc in the water!!

Our Uber should be here any minute!!
