I don't understand the purpose of them holding out this long on announcing the sale date. It's almost April; they must know the exact date by now. Why keep it a secret?

Hopefully it’s next week.
So if we're gonna be talking about announcements and things to be said or discussed at D23 on the Shanghai forum a proposed leak for the Shanghai second gate got tweeted then taken down but the screenshots are now circulating. Looks to be EPCOT + AK combined. Not saying this is real or not. But wouldn't be surprised it is was.

Agreed. I have no idea what they have to gain by waiting. If they're waiting until the deadline for Gold membership has passed so they can quietly tell only the Gold members the presale date, it won't work; it would immediately become public knowledge anyway. Are they just trying to build up suspense by making the date a surprise? Like they're going to announce at some point, "Hey, tix go on sale tomorrow!" If that's the case, it's not a good surprise. This is an event that takes a lot of planning. People want to know what day tickets go on sale so they can plan accordingly. I was hoping to take at least part of the day off so I wouldn't be stuck unable to step away from work when my turn comes up, which was almost the case last time. But by the time the date is announced, it'll be too late to put a request in. And some people are waiting to book flights and hotel rooms. We need some notice, Disney!

The longer they wait, the higher the airfares will be due to fuel costs sky rocketing due to the Iran war happenings.
For those planning to attend, I recommend start saving more money NOW.
Methinks this will be a more-expensive-then-usual event.
And of course….the Expo tickets will likely be priced higher as well compared to past years.

I already locked down flights and hotel. The hotel was the worst part. I booked air long before any problems. I feel bad for those who waited/planning to buy after they secure badges.

Every time I see this thread bumped, my hopes are raised that ticket details were released. Then, reality hits me and I remember that I need to buy airfare (already have DL package and hotel secured).

Tickets for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will go on sale for D23 Gold Members on an Essential, Choice, or Complete plan, beginning April 2, 2026, at 10 a.m. PT.
All other D23 Gold Membership plan types can join the queue to purchase tickets starting April 2, 2026, at 12 p.m. PT.
D23 Gold Charter Members will have a special opportunity to purchase tickets during an exclusive pre-sale starting on March 31, 2026, at 10 a.m. PT.
Each ticket is subject to an $11.25 service fee, and each transaction is subject to a $16.00 delivery fee
Ticket Waitlist:
A waitlist will be available to join for a limited time following the close of ticket sales should tickets become available. D23 Gold Members will be asked to indicate their preferred ticket types and will need to provide their Gold Membership number to submit the waitlist form. For the health and safety of all guests, overnight queuing will not be available for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
Additional entry instructions, including entry queue start times, will be provided in the weeks leading up to the event.
Also, for the safety of all guests, there will be security screening at all event entrances—including bag check and metal detection. Please allow ample time when planning your arrival. View the Event Policies for details about prohibited items for each venue.

For the safety of all guests, there will be security screening at all event entrances, including bag search and metal detection. Please allow ample time when planning your arrival. It is recommended that guests depart for the Honda Center at least 90 minutes prior to show time.
PLEASE NOTE: The Honda Center has a strict “No Bag” policy. The maximum-size bag allowed at the Honda Center is 5" x 9" x 2" regardless if it is a clear bag or not. Medical and diaper bags may be a maximum of 12" x 12" x 12". Backpacks, including mini backpacks, are not permitted under any circumstances. Please review the Event Policies for additional prohibited items at the Honda Center.

Reservations for Anaheim Convention Center presentations and experiences will be randomly distributed based on preferences and availability through a Reservation Random Selection Process ("Reservation RSP"). The Reservation RSP selection process will open on Monday, July 20, at 12 p.m. PT and close on Friday, July 24, at 12 p.m. PT, during which Guests may choose and rank their preferences. Guests will be allowed to make reservation selections for up to six (6) total guests (themselves plus five [5] guests) for most shows and presentations. Additional information on the Reservation RSP selection process as well as available presentations and experiences will be available closer to the selection process opening date.
Starting August 7, reservations will be assigned and any confirmed reservations communicated via email. Please note it may take a few days to receive your email after this date if you are assigned reservations. Please note that not all Guests may receive a reservation, but there will be other opportunities should reservations become available as well as standby queues available onsite.
For guests who do not receive reservations for their preferences at the Anaheim Convention Center, standby queues will be available for presentations at Anaheim Convention Center Event Stages, Talent Central, and most Show Floor Experiences. NOTE: Evening shows at the Honda Center are for D23 Ultimate Fan Pass and D23 Ultimate Preferred Fan Pass ticket holders only.
