I was on CoP today and we got stopped in the 1920's section twice. I don't know specifically if it was someone getting out of their seat in another theater, but I know that this happens....not sure how frequently.

Technically CoP is a ride and with the increasing impatience of guests, I wonder if it's time they should add seat belts.

Seat belts = No
Tazers = Yes
I can agree that tasers would be a good deterrent. I don't understand how little some of the current paying guests know about a Disney Park or what is in it. They are sitting in a theater and the audience moves to each scene. Where the hell have they ever seen anything like that before and even can't even appreciate a technology that was created some 62 years ago. If people can't appreciate anything that doesn't bring their last meal back up to their necks it isn't worth seeing should not be allowed past the front gate. The more times the fools decide to take the exit the more times the show has to stop.

Add a penalty. If you get up to leave mid show you must be held in a holding room until the show is over. Leaving the theater does not get you out so you can do something else in the park. You are not released until all the theater guests are let out.

How do they keep you? The door opened and I could see outside.

Admittedly, I did get up and leave one time.

They were clearly having issues with it because they closed off the line, and we sat through the 1920s section twice and the 1940s section three times. When the theater didn't move and the 1940s scene started again, we just got up and left, along with basically all of the other theaters. They weren't exactly communicating to us what was happening. There was one CM on the intercom telling everyone to sit down, but the CMs outside were like "yeah, we get it."

At that point, it's like, just have everyone get off and call maintenance.

Would not have done that on basically any other attraction, and I otherwise never have exited COP early.

I believe when they built "Meet the World" in Tokyo Disneyland (originally meant for EPCOT), they had a similar layout but the stages moved instead of the theater seats. Sadly, I never got to see that show in person.

No, but each room needs staff in it to monitor the situation. I've had a kid who obviously wasn't equipped to sit in the dark for 20minutes literally scream at the top of his lungs the ENTIRE time. Not a baby. Not a little scream. So loud that I almost hit the emergency stop. It was insane.

What if the only reason why it was stopping was because people were leaving the theater mid-show?

They just need buckets at the entrance to dump phones and babies into to stop the "i only go in there to chill and have a chat" group who seem to think its acceptable to just go in and be loud and play on their phone or let your baby scream throughout the whole thing.
