Since nobody is going to agree with me, I remove that post I made and make a sabbatical leave of absence. And yes, I love Mickey and the Magical Map! Deal with it!

‘Mickey and The Magical Map’ was a terrific show.
I am a fan as well…saw many showings in person.

Very clever way of staging a show, and the music was great.
I enjoyed it very much over the years it ran….so here is at least one other fan of the Show besides yourself!
😎

Always felt so bad for the Cast of the show, as they never had a ‘Final Performance’ day due to the COVID Apocalypse force closing the Park.
Such a shame, as this show deserved a big send off with fans like us who appreciated the production.
None of us had that chance.

I had no idea about that! That's neat, I'm glad they made that call. I haven't really been following this particular project I'm afraid, so this was the first I was hearing of t.
Yeah we had the following thread for it -

It should be a show with more than 3 performances. Disney clearly is lacking entertainment and guests are starved for it. The venue is there to perform shows, the whole "interactive walkthrough" thing is a cheap out.

I hope the angry guests who weren't able to see the meager 3 showings today will get Disney to give this regular showtimes.

Mickey and the Magical Map had 5-6 shows a day.

I'm clearly not the target demographic. And I haven't known the target demographic for over a quarter century, since my nephews stopped needing rental strollers to visit Disneyland.

But this seems kind of cute. It reminds me of when The Wiggles performed in the Fantasyland Theater 30 years ago. I think they were a very perky British kindergarten rock band, or something? It's a bit hazy. But I took my nephew with my sister, and I had no idea what was going on, but it was infectiously fun.

I heard it was chaos.

Lemme guess.... It was a Sunday afternoon in the shoulder-season so the relatively minor new thing that's aimed at kindergartners was instead mobbed by adult, childless Annual Passholders aged 25 to 49? And they all had to get in NOW, and all had to order the new snack bar food NOW, and all had to Social Media the hell out of it NOW?

They should move it to the Hyperion.

Give it two weeks. It will settle back down to what it's supposed to be; a cutesy stage show for kindergartners and their moms quietly sipping a wine-based beverage from the snack bar.

Please tell me the snack bar (still called Troubadour Treats?) is selling a wine-based beverage for the moms in the audience. If they aren't, then TDA is dumber than I thought.
