MK New Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Updates Coming to Walt Disney World

I hope the soundtrack is untouched but I think at least some of it is going to be redone or replaced. My guess is they'll go for something more orchestral and cinematic and less cheesy.
I wouldn't be surprised if they switched to the Disneyland version's music (which is similar but perhaps has a more "cinematic" feel), as it looks like they brought a lot of the other updates from there.

I do really like the military drum cadence in the MK version's queue, though, and I'd hate to lose that.

And just in general, I think using the song "Strange Things" as the basis of the ride music was brilliant...

I wonder if they'll reuse that music as well. I don't think they will though. My guess is they will either leave the music as is or do something with the music that is more in line with the music for Planet Rescue in Shanghai.

Question, I tend to mix up all different version of buzz across the parks, but wasn't there a Zurg AA in the ride? Has that been replaced with Buddy? I read in the release we'll see Zurg for the first time in the tunnel now.

This looks absolutely phenomenal. A great blend of the original elements and new audio, technology, and effects. I cannot wait for April 8.
Was going to say the same. I’m a huge lifelong fan of this ride and have been super nervous for this redo. Absolutely love what I see so far. A smart update that keeps things really fresh while keeping the original ride’s spirit and bones completely intact

Yes it appears to be an improvement. Have to admit the old red laser system didn’t really work for me, especially when compared to the experience at Toy Story Mania.

Granted I can understand being skeptical but nothing they announced previously alluded it to being a downgraded experience whatsoever.

Everything was “pushing” what was already there and even adding new elements.
I think based on what we had been shown originally that, objectively, it was going to be an update. Better vehicles, better blasters, a new scene, etc. But we all know that the atmosphere, mood, or feeling a ride gives you is a subjective, intangible aspect that we really value. I think his point was that they managed to upgrade everything without changing that intangible aspect. That's how I feel at least based on what we now have seen.
