Trip Report Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Brrrrrrrrrr

It's time to report on our first mother-daughter trip to WDW!

86.jpg

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when you take a 4 year old to Disney in early February in record-breaking cold… buckle up.

From 2/2–2/6, we somehow travel with both sunscreen and mittens. We flew out of Boston optimistically thinking things like, “It won’t feel that cold in Florida, right?” Reader: it did. There were puffy coats in the Most Magical Place on Earth. There were goosebumps in line for rides. There were moments when I questioned every life choice that led to me saying, “Let’s go in February!”

And yet.

There were also shrieks of joy. So. Many. Rides. The kind of fearless, hands-in-the-air, “Again! Again!” energy only a four-year-old can sustain on pure adrenaline and Mickey-shaped snacks. Nora conquered attractions like a tiny theme park warrior, equal parts princess and chaos gremlin.

Of course, no toddler-centric Disney trip is complete without the full emotional range of the human experience. We had magic. We had meltdowns. We had tears (some hers, some… undisclosed). We had triumphant parade dancing and dramatic collapses over the wrong color straw.

Here we go!!

Afloat for me and a twist for Nora.

While we enjoyed our treats, I grabbed a LL for magic carpets per Nora's request.

97.jpg

After our flight, we decided to catch Country Bears. Nora was fascinated by the claw marks on the floors!

98.jpg

99.jpg

Next LL was for Small World!

100.jpg

I should mention that through all of this I was constantly bombarded with questions about Tiana's with no positive update to provide her 😭

Finally, it was time for our Mine Train ILL! Nora is an adrenaline junkie, so she was READY for another coaster.

101.jpg

This pic was proof that it was finally warm enough (for us) to wear t shirts!

102.jpg

103.jpg

Another A+ pic below. Nora and I happy and the guy in front of us truly living his BEST life 😅

104.jpg

Naturally she wanted to RIDE IT AGAIN. Sorry, but no lol

We decided since it was almost 60 degrees that we would go back to Pop and have some pool time (bc we are nuts)

We grabbed what ended up being my favorite picture of us the entire trip 😍 :inlove:

This truly looks like a photo Disney would have in their advertisements. What a great shot! I also noticed your sweatshirt. I'll be going up to Kennebunkport in October with my friend so if you have any recommendations for what to do or check out, please let me know :D

In the meantime, great trip report so far and I am enjoying reading along!

Loving this. You two are so cute. 🥰
Thank you!! :inlove:
Loving all the happy smiling photos. Nora looks like she’s having the best time
At one point she said "mama my cheeks hurt from smiling!" 😅

Thank you!!

And you are going to have the BEST time!! Fall in Maine is amazing. I live in the town right next door to Kennebunkport so we spend a lot of time there!

Highly recommend: Arundel Wharf restaurant or The Boathouse for a meal on the water, walking the trails at St. Anthony's Monastery, Seacoast Trolley Museum, take a drive to Walker's Point (the Bush estate!)

You are going to have a blast 🥳
The photos of the two of you are so cute!! 🥰 By the way, I really like your Mickey (or Mickey and Minnie) sunglasses that you wore on the Magic Carpets ride.
Thank you! I bought them on Amazon before the trip thinking I'd never find them anywhere at WDW... only to see them in every shop I went into 😆

We grabbed one more selfie before we made our way out in my new hat!

105.jpg

106.jpg

I took the below picture because I just had to laugh. Here she was bundled up and cold... en route to go swim in the pool lol

107.jpg

We didn't have to wait long for a bus to Pop though, and soon we were on our way!

Nora was enjoying her Shirley status.

108.jpg

It's a long way back to the 90s regardless, so I took a new route to show Nora some areas she hadn't seen yet.

109.jpg

110.jpg

We got changed and headed back out to the pool.

When I took the below photo, it was 57 degrees out, a heat wave!!

111.jpg

There was one other family there, so naturally Nora found the little girl around her age to play with. Nora got to experience one of the hallmarks of a childhood vacation: making a friend in the hotel pool! I seriously have so many memories doing the exact same thing.

112.jpg

Nora was showing her how to doggy paddle haha

At a certain point I had to drag her away, teeth chattering but insisting she was FINE MOM, so we could change to head back to MK.

We grabbed a quick dinner before we caught the bus.

Nothing fancy but hit the spot!

Our bus ride was filled with Nora still asking me when she could ride Tiana's... STILL down. I had zero faith but didn't want a meltdown just yet.

The sun was shining as we reentered and probably around 60 degrees!

115.jpg

We had a LL for Speedway next. My little crazy driver.

116.jpg

After, she said "remember the Donald movie?"

I had to think for a second, but figured it out quickly!

117.jpg

118.jpg

Our tradition on every trip is to get a new Christmas ornament to commemorate. Fun fact: I have three full size Christmas trees up during the holiday season. All with personal ornaments, no fillers!

I asked Nora what she wanted and she said she had SO MUCH FUN on IASW that this would be perfect.

Sold!

119.jpg

She did insist on her other favorite next with a short wait.

120.jpg

She was excited to make a face this time and got Mike Wazowski'd

121.jpg

After Pirates, we decided to go chat with the CMs holding the crowds back away from Tiana's so that someone else could break the news to Nora.

She was so super sad. It made my mama heart hurt big time, but she didn't cry or meltdown. She just used her words to tell me how disappointed she was :(

We needed a snack to cheer up after that.

122.jpg

And my mom guilt got the best of me guys... I purchased my first every bubble wand LOL

but look how happy!!!

123.jpg

I'm a sucker, but she had a gift card and had been the best park buddy so she deserved it.

She wanted to ride Small World again, so off we went!

She told me this part of the ride was her favorite because of the colors.

125.jpg

Quick bio break before we found a spot for Starlight.

126.jpg

We found a spot in Liberty Square, with plans to watch fireworks from behind the castle after to avoid being crushed by the crowds.

Someone was TIRED and cold.

127.jpg

But we were big fans of the parade!

128.jpg

129.jpg

131.jpg

132.jpg

133.jpg

134.jpg

She did make me hold her the ENTIRE time so I was SORE.

After the parade, my sleepy gal decided she wanted to make extra use of our LL purchase. Let's see how many rides we can do before fireworks!

137.jpg

First up, Pooh bear!

138.jpg

139.jpg

Next, round 3 on Barnstormer!

140.jpg

141.jpg

And finally, one more visit to Ariel!

142.jpg

This was SO much fun. We were running around, dashing to rides, giggling and having the very very best time. It is a memory I will cherish forever, truly.

I grabbed us a spot near Be Our Guest right as HEA started.

At first we were excited, happy even!

145.jpg

But the noise and the tiredness and the cold proved to just be too much for my tiny human. She begged me to please leave, covering her ears up.

I was bummed, but I understood. We made our way out.

146.jpg

147.jpg

At least we didn't have to wait long for the bus!

And SOMEBODY promptly passed out.

148.jpg

After a quick transition to jammies, she was out like a light.

149.jpg

It was an amazing day with my girly and I couldn't wait until the next. Up next - Hollywood Studios!

Time flies!!!

Anyways, where were we?

It was finally time for food and fun.

We always do Chef Mickeys either on arrival day or departure day and it's just a nice way to either kick off or end our adventures. The last time we were here for dinner though, it was still family style and I did NOT love it. I was hoping for better being able to pick my options!

We were seated up by the windows in the back corner of the buffet and got some plates pretty quickly.

Nora got kid classics, no surprises there. She was happy though! I tried a little bit of everything, and it was all very good.

We did some kid faves refills before grabbing some desserts.

View attachment 910272

Nora was obsessed with the Donald cupcake.

View attachment 910273

We were able to eat to our hearts content before the gang made their rounds.

Up first was Pluto!

View attachment 910274

A CM offered to take one with me in it, which I always appreciate.

View attachment 910275

Donald was next. Nora asked me to do a selfie this time, she didn't like me being left out of the fun which was so so sweet.

View attachment 910276

They were moving through quickly which was nice honestly, especially since we were done eating.

Our favorite girly next!

And big big hugs for the Mouse himself.

So cute!
