there is a need, (you just aren't the target demographic). My favorite experience in Orlando, is Discovery Cove. If it was possible to buy a season pass, I would drop whatever money it cost and I would buy one.

I haven't heard news on this project since 08. Le sigh.

Regular one day admission to WDW: $79
Annual Pass: $489

So going by your $300/one night for NK, an annual pass would be $1849 (actually a little more, but I'd figure they'd either go to $1849 or $1899. From there the next step is $1999)

I don't think many people would be buying that pass.

I don't have anything to add on Night Kingdom that hasn't already been said, but I'd just like to note that I'm very proud of how civil everyone has been on this thread. Considering the subject, I was expecting massive flaming of the OP and such, but was pleasantly surprised to find genuine answers to their questions and a very mature discussion.

I'm not your dad, so it's really not my business how people behave, but I will say this: kudos to you, gang. You won the internet today.

Actually I don't care at all. Night Kingdom aka Disneys Jungle Trek aka who knows didn't sound interesting to me at all. I read about the adventures that would have been offered there: Handfeeding a hippo. BIG deal. Walking through an nocturnal African savanna with night goggles on watching lions, hyenas etc. in their natural habitat. I barely can contain myself! A big dinnershow, how unique! And all these mindchanging experiences for only around 300 bucks per DAY! What a bargain! And to all those guests who were less than thrilled by the opportunities of this niche or boutique park DNK wouldn't have changed anything. With only 2000 guests per day as maximum capacity the fith gate wouldn't have had any impact on WDWs capacity in general. What are 2000 guests? This wouldn't have reduced crowds in MK or other parks during peak hours but consumed half a billion bucks that would have been missing for those additions the parks DESPERATELY need. More rides for DAK etc. are much more important than a fith gate.

This is some of the most jarring info from an old thread. Today’s park passes aren’t too far from the projected prices that were seen as crazy for NK.

True. But it’s also been 15 years when you account for the Big Mac Index in the US, we’ve seen a 65% increase from 2010 to 2026 (with the lower bound going from $3.50 to 5.79 in that time frame )

Keep Dreaming/Maybe Someday
Journey into Imagination refurb
Monsters, Inc. rollercoaster @ Pixar Place
Night Kingdom
Beastly Kingdomme/Animal Kingdom expansion
Yeti in "A" mode
New park
Found this interesting as well. Got a new park, 2 AK expansions and a door coaster.
I have to believe a Journey refurb is imminent.
If something like Night Kingdom ever happens, it won't be on US soil.
And.

Sure there’s always inflation, but Disney has far outpaced that.

As someone who wasn't a part of the community that far back- is the Night Kingdom just an early version of Animal Kingdom? Seems to be judging by the art

If memory serves, it was going to be Disney's answer to Discovery Cove. A premium park where you would have up close interactions with animals. This was all well after DAK had already opened.

No it was a boutique experience that might have been connected to AK. Think Jungle Trek but on a bigger scale.
Interesting! Honestly I can see why it was never built, seems a little too similar to AK even though it’s a closer experience with the animals
