Where else can the expansion of a congested road intersection lead to wild and crazy speculation about Skyliner expansion and new hotels?
Never change, WDWMagic forums. Never change.

I think Tramway is one of the final modes of Transportation WDW.I did
I will say, while I appreciate the effort to bring in a new form of transportation in form of the Skyliner, I still think buses are the way to go with how large WDW is. Ideally, we'd get the next phase of bus-only roads to and from MK to reduce congestion on World Drive, etc.
All Disney needs to do is build a resort closer to Blizzard Beach and it could be called “Disney Alpine Lodge and Villas at Blizzard Beach, a DIsney Vacation Club Property. The "extra intersections" are interesting but I don't think anything will come to fruition. The entrance road to Blizzard Beach always had extra asphalt as if they planned on expanding that road, not sure what the idea was there, but it never got used until now. That area would be cool for an other resort but since World Drive is right there along with the backside of DHS I don't know how extensive it would be. I can't think of any Disney resort that sits right next to a main highway other than the Value resorts which are somewhat close to main roads. Another value resort would be nice.

Go on…People are sleeping on this.
It’s a big deal.
Most park fans are just interested in the current happenings and park-related stuff. It's hard to get excited about infrastructure projects.People are sleeping on this.

I don’t disagree necessarily. But many of us park fans aren’t usually interested in commuting efficiencies of those who live near/around WDW. The only way this could pique our interest is of this work is viewed as presaging a significant MK expansion and/or new hotel. Most park fans are just interested in the current happenings and park-related stuff. With that said, it is exciting to see this happening. It's 5-10 years late, with the ridiculous amount of growth in Horizon West/Clermont.
It does appear to be an indication that Disney could put a hotel in the adjacent area (Toy Story Hotel across DHS?), and expect to invest more into the Flaming Crossings area.I don’t disagree necessarily. 5th gate......I don’t disagree necessarily. But many of us park fans aren’t usually interested in commuting efficiencies of those who live near/around WDW. The only way this could pique our interest is of this work is viewed as presaging a significant MK expansion and/or new hotel.
5th gate......
Its a jokeProbably not around there. If anything larger is built there it would be another hotel.
People have speculated that a 5th gate would be east of the TTC parking lot on the otherside of the monorail track. At least when everyone was talking about the land suitability studies that came out a few years ago.
Its a joke
I was excited about this project. And I still am to an extent, but I read that CFTOD’s own analysis predicts the traffic situation on Western Way will be just as bad as it is today less than 5 years after this project’s completion.
