I could be wrong but I doubt we will see anything majorly change for a while. ( Things we really want or hope for, like go back to 1980s pricing... lol )Transitioning into a new position takes time and although he might have a list of things he has in his mind to change, it isn't going to be done with a snap of his fingers. There are a lot of things behind the scenes that go on, ( board approval is a big one) and don't forget that Bob I may be gone but not entirely.... If any changes come immediately they probably be small, minor significant things that point to regime change and try for good publicity as they change all the name plates on the doors and paper headings on the forms.

Nothing in the Parks and likely nothing in general.

Josh is an establishment guy in charge (essentially) of the Parks for 6 years. I can only assume he likes the direction of the parks, and tough to argue given their financial performance in that business. We all know it's worse, but the money says, keep going.

As for the entire company, everything else is basically terrible.

Disney's entire board and leadership should be gone after the last 10 years of incompetence.

Wishing the best for Josh.
He has a lot ahead of him, and I hope he can make some positive changes.

We ALL wish him the best and he has a lot to have to turn around from the past years and mis-steps that were made to satisfy us who love Disney and continue to go back. But just because he is now sitting behind the big boys desk doesn't mean he's willing to alter the course Bob I took us on. He hasn't made any real substantive comments on his plans and views that will result in taking a U turn. He has a daunting task ahead of him and quickly reality will set in of what he can do and what he's allowed to do. Lets remember that Bob I had a lot of freedom and backing on his side that Josh does not have.

I don't know that, but something is off about the Disney board in general. They don't care if they lose money.
Corporate boards vary in how they are run. IDK about Dis board members but for some it’s not so much about money but the status and recognition that comes from their names being on the board. It also gives them a lot of connections and influence for their personal operations.
Not caring what happens and rubber stamping Bob I plans doesn’t affect them like it does the paying guests.

A board is legally required to operate as a fiduciary, acting in the best interests of the corporation and its shareholders.

Yes, but DOING SO isn't always the case. You cannot really believe that Disneys board has always operated in the best interest of Disney, fiduciarily and otherwise. There have been many times the board just rubber stamped things without a second thought because Bob I wanted it so.

Yeah, which is why I've said for years Disney's board is corrupt.

The unfortunately reality is that most every board of every publicly traded company is a rubber stamping waste of time. I've worked at several different companies over the years and the one thing that quickly became clear was that the boards were normally just rubber stamping puppets for the CEO because all too often the CEO is also a board member with the rest of the board filled with people that are more than willing to get their 6 figure pay for a few days of work each year but will have no real understanding of the company they are supposed to be helping to direct. So they almost always just default to the CEO's wishes because he clearly knows more about the company than they do. It would be nice if the SEC set out some rules for who board members could be and what background they needed to have. You know some simple things, like an advanced business degree, advanced engineering degree or some other background that was directly related to the company they were supposed to be helping guide. Instead I've see board get everyone from a former governor, the spouse of a governor, a former professional athlete, or just country club buddy to another board member. It never surprises me when a board is incompetent... I would be more surprised if one was ever actually filled with competent members.

Potentially some improved morale in CM’s - they seem pretty happy that Josh is the new CEO.
Anecdotal but all of my CM friends are genuinely over the moon. CMs really, really like him, and always have as far as I can tell. Of course, that does not mean he's going to be a great CEO just because he seems to be a nice guy, but I do think that it could potentially mean that he'll make more of an effort to keep the CMs in mind when he does things. He seems to have made it a point to connect with them in his time as the parks guy, and I hope he maintains that spirit sitting in the CEO suite now.
