IDK...when I was there in October 2024 there were Halloween shows in both the Lion King theatre and that other space next to it and they were packed both days we were there (non-weekend). We did the show in Fantasyland and the small Playhouse Frozen show, but didn't see the two Halloween shows. Most of the attractions, including headliners like Mystic, Grizzly, Frozen and Space Mt were low waits throughout the day or only busy for a bit in the middle of the day. Could this new venue lessen the need for the space next to Lion King? That would open up a wider swath of land for an actual attraction/expansion.

A fourth midway mania doesn’t do a lot for me but HK is the only resort where the magic kingdom has to proverbially carry the entire resort but it’s still the smallest or second smallest based on attraction count depending on how you count it and Shanghai

HK punches far above its weight with high quality shows but I don’t think stage shows are as big of a draw as attraction density, something HK still struggles with

Stage shows are attractions, but I understand you mean rides.

I’m not entirely sure that is true and depends on the ride, the given stage show and the demographic pull of the park. A indoor seated stage show definitely outranks a C ticket and probably a good deal of D’s if it’s good enough.

I know the Lion King show for example is one of the highest rated things at Animal Kingdom and was even more regarded and popular than two of its “E tickets.”

I feel like it could be a similar experience to the House of Del-Villains, which ran for 2 Halloween seasons (2023, 2024). I like the idea of having separate rooms which can house a large quantity of guests, then once one of the segments are over, they are moved to the next room, etc. But then again, theres a theatrical performance so.. idk.

I found a video of Wandering Oaken's in early Feb, seems like they would have to add some trees to cover up that portion of the wall for the Pixar experience building once it's complete.

They are so hardworking!! Day to night literally! Went past it at like ~6:40pm and they are welding a lot of things, lots of sparks! 2nd image is taken from Orbitron, its blurry cuz its a screenshot from a video (the ride is too fast to take a good photo). The Stark Expo expansion area is lit up brightly at night, could be more digging perhaps?

Curious, but why was Brer Bear in the rendering (far right, behind CptHook) for Castle of Magical Dreams? I don't think he ever appeared in HKDL before..? Perhaps.. they were thinking of a Splash Mt ride before Disney axed the ones in the US? Just a thought.

I'd say we probably would get more concept art or details for this new entertainment area during the Fisical year presentation, which is usually set between Feb-May of each year.

According to an insider source, seems like the HKDL railroad will be closed for 3 years. No idea whether the train will be retracked or not. This will be an interesting decision to make...perhaps they will do something similar with Iron Man experience? To cover up the 2 sides..? It will be quite lengthy though.
