After thinking about it more I’m probably going to have to go with Animal Kingdom despite not having as many rides and shorter park hours just because the park’s atmosphere is so good.

What do you all prefer?

I absolutely love Animal Kingdom. And it's usually my favorite park in Orlando. The theming, rides, and attractions are all great. But right now it's a shell of its former self and I voted for HS. I'm sure I'll switch it back here in a couple of years when AK is all built out.

Definitely AK.

DHS lacks any cohesion. There’s no linking theme.

Galaxy’s edge has theming, albeit half of what it could have been. TSL also creates an ambience of its own.

And hopefully the new Animation Courtyard area will also come to life .

But AK is drenched in theming. Harambe is my favourite, Pandora is stunning at night. The Oasis, Discoveryland and Asia all have places to explore.
Pity the lake is underused, make that unused. Put some boats on it if they can’t think of another use.

Animal Kingdom will never be a serious contender for me without a proper nighttime send off or standard closing hours of 6 pm.

There will never be fireworks at AK because of the animals. Maybe a drone show over Discovery River if they ever commit to one. Another show with floats like Rivers of Light? Who knows?

AK, but if you are torn parking hopping is an option.

Depending on your total number of days, PH add-on costs (3-day) $80, (4-day+) $90 plus tax.

Depending on the day, LLMP for AK is often $10-12 less than for HS.

So if you were thinking of going to HS with LLMP or AK with LLMP, AK is about $10-12 (w tax) less than HS.

If you add PH, and start your day at AK you might think of it as only costing $70/80 more than if you had picked HS with LLMP.

No reason why they can't leverage some of the Luminous barge (no pyro) or WoC fountain tech on the river.

It's clearly an Operations decision and I do get it. Too many things at AK wraps up in early evening (the shows, safari, walkthroughs, etc). Hopefully Tropical Americas is just phase 1 at AK.

I'd be for an extension of rides on the south side of AK where there are no animals but, knowing Disney, they would want to monetize that with After Hours.
