Everyone here knows my extreme distaste for Iger.

That being said I hope he is leaving because he feels the time is right, and it’s not some health or family issue.

I wish him the best.

Not gonna lie though I did do a fist pump when I saw the news 😃😃😃😃
The time was right the first time he left. Sadly, the successor was not. Not that Josh is great, but Chapek was well in over his head.

I don’t think we have to worry about carousal of progress for at least a decade considering that they’re putting in the Walt audio-animatronic. That will very likely cost a lot of money that I doubt they’d be very eager to spend on something they have plans to replace any time soon.
Do we know how many decades D,Amaro intends to stay?

“Bob's a big risk taker. I'm a big risk taker, and that's been true my whole life with how I've approached growing as an individual to how I've approached the business world," D'Amaro said.

Risktaking without the talent to back it up is just brand destruction. Walt Disney, Thomas Edison, Steve Jobs, these were true visionaries, and business geniuses. Josh reminds me of Mitt Romney and John Kerry. Completely competent, but not inspirational or visionary. Josh’s term as CEO motto should be the same as a doctor, “First do no harm.”

Josh, I do not think having a separate government-owned company entirety fund and operate the UAE resort while you rake in licensing fees and only worry about your company's image taking a slight tank is much of a big risk on your part 😆
How about letting the caliphate slap your logo wherever they want?

Anyone else see the paragraph below in this Deadline article about D'Amaro? (Emphasis mine.)

Also planned, a new Zootopia area, a Tangled ride and an Up-themed attraction at Magic Kingdom; a new Anna & Elsa attraction at Epcot; a major expansion at Animal Kingdom known as Tropical Americas, featuring new Encanto and Indiana Jones attractions; a new Coco ride at Disneyland; and an expansion of Avengers Campus with two new rides.

I've not heard of any of those things before, let alone them being planned projects. I've emailed the author for clarification.

I feel like the author is just confused. The new Zootopia area is in China (unless they’re talking about Zoogether), Up was talked about for new Adventureland in Tokyo, and Anna and Elsa are getting facelifts. Either that or it’s AI struggling.

That was my first guess when reading that. Who or what-ever wrote that is probably confusing global construction.
