The time was right the first time he left. Sadly, the successor was not. Not that Josh is great, but Chapek was well in over his head.Everyone here knows my extreme distaste for Iger.
That being said I hope he is leaving because he feels the time is right, and it’s not some health or family issue.
I wish him the best.
Not gonna lie though I did do a fist pump when I saw the news![]()
Do we know how many decades D,Amaro intends to stay?I don’t think we have to worry about carousal of progress for at least a decade considering that they’re putting in the Walt audio-animatronic. That will very likely cost a lot of money that I doubt they’d be very eager to spend on something they have plans to replace any time soon.
Glowy employee talkWhat does this mean?![]()
…why yes…yes he did…LOL - Iger took out a hammer and smashed the money printing machines of Marvel, Lucasfilm and Animation ... and then quit again.
How about letting the caliphate slap your logo wherever they want?Josh, I do not think having a separate government-owned company entirety fund and operate the UAE resort while you rake in licensing fees and only worry about your company's image taking a slight tank is much of a big risk on your part![]()
It was a good move though. Bring in an outside group to check any biases you may have that you are blind to.All that 3rd party vetting by a high price search firm and the winner was right in front of them hiding in plain sight.
Que?!?It was a good move though. Bring in an outside group to check any biases you may have that you are blind to.
No CEO is without their criticisms. But Eisner had a pretty good track record. The Eisner that built DLP or the Eisner that built DCA?
There’s an easy score in every park.Imagination would he an easy score…converting abramsland to star was land would be another really easy one
Also planned, a new Zootopia area, a Tangled ride and an Up-themed attraction at Magic Kingdom; a new Anna & Elsa attraction at Epcot; a major expansion at Animal Kingdom known as Tropical Americas, featuring new Encanto and Indiana Jones attractions; a new Coco ride at Disneyland; and an expansion of Avengers Campus with two new rides.
Anyone else see the paragraph below in this Deadline article about D'Amaro? (Emphasis mine.)
I've not heard of any of those things before, let alone them being planned projects. I've emailed the author for clarification.
I feel like the author is just confused. The new Zootopia area is in China (unless they’re talking about Zoogether), Up was talked about for new Adventureland in Tokyo, and Anna and Elsa are getting facelifts. Either that or it’s AI struggling.
