DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

That's all well and good, but Indiana Jones still does not belong in Animal Kingdom, and considering the most recent Indiana Jones movie flopped I'm not sure how popular of a franchise it still is.
IJ being a good or bad fit for AK aside, I do feel like the IP is still strong, even though the last 2 movies weren’t great. The original trilogy still holds a ton of good will and the video game that recently came out was very well regarded I hear. I would love Lucasfilm to breathe some new life into the character, maybe a new series with a fresh actor. I feel like we can move past the Harrison Ford of it all and continue telling Indy stories. Just my humble opinion.

Nothing that interesting yet. Just discussions being held and looking how TDL handles this subject.
Yeah when you said that my first thought was how Tokyo is gonna get rid of their Jungle Cruise, Tiki Room, and Treehouse to replace them with an Incredibles Rollercoaster and an Up themed flat ride. If Magic Kingdom copies them then I’m afraid the park is truly cooked.

Well, it may well be there are better fits for Animal Kingdom, thematic-wise.

But I understand the logic: they have two Indiana Jones-themed rides on this same ride system and layout -- and they have worked fabulously. Do I wish it were animal-based? Well ... maybe. Imagine Zootopia going in here....

while not particularly animal-centric, I do feel like the spirit of adventure will always be a good match for the park...
Animal Kingdom isn't just a bigger Adventureland. Would you be okay with them adding an Aladdin ride to the park too?

Oh, trust me, I thought the plan to turn Dinosaur into a clone of Shanghai's Hot Pursuit ride was just as horrifying.

I’d definitely choose Indy over zootopia as well.

It is however, funny how the same people who said “if you want to see rivers of America just go to Disneyland” are now saying we should have Indy because it’s popular at Disneyland.

We also constantly have to hear about how anything old just gets praised for nostalgia reasons and nothing can stay the same forever but we need to embrace this ride that's older than Dinosaur.

Suddenly people understand the concept of something just being good and timeless when it's the thing they like being talked about.

(Not that it even matters because it's not the same ride so there's no reason it should even be brought up in regards to quality unless you think the IP is literally blessed.)

It does matter inasmuch as it is a ride system and facility layout originally designed to convey the feeling of driving through the interior of walled ruins, not the feeling of driving through an open prehistoric jungle. In much the same way that Frozen Ever After makes concessions due to the Maelstrom's infrastructure, Dinosaur makes some as well as a result of its structural ties to Indiana Jones. Had it been developed completely independently, I imagine they'd have done some things differently.

In that sense, regardless of the IP, I'm excited to see this attraction set in the kind of environment it was intended to navigate rather than the sometimes unconvincing forest of Dinosaur.

No...not at all... and the "spirit of adventure" is not the same thing as the "spirit of Disney's Adventureland".... None of the attractions currently in Adventureland would make a good fit in DAK...Saying Indiana Jones represents a spirit of adventure does not imply that any Disney IP will fit anywhere... An Adventurer searching for a mythical creature in the jungle doesn't sound so far off in a park that is mostly jungle and currently has mythical alien creatures inhabiting a large section nearby...
