DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

As has been pointed out before why is WDI suddenly leaning into the studio concept again suddenly after spending the last ten years trying to consciously get rid of it with the removal of GMR, TSL etc.
I wonder if they ever would pull the trigger on that rumored name change. Paris is losing the “studios” moniker on their 2nd park, does DHS similarly tell the story that you enter through the studios into the movies themselves?

Rides don't have to have suspense to be a good attraction -- there's nothing suspenseful about Spaceship Earth, for example (or really any of EPCOT's classics). NRJ is a great C ticket and probably the best on property. Should it have 60+ minute waits? No, but no C ticket should. That's an issue with the park's offerings rather than a problem with the ride.
Navi River Journey to me feels like an attraction on the scale of DL's POTC except it suddenly ends after the grotto sequence.

If we are using Dinosaur and the DCA Tower of Terror as barometers of what should be replaced because it's not as popular as it's deriving sister attraction than the Florida POTC should likely on the chopping block as well.
Even though I grew up with WDW Pirates so for a long time that’s all I knew, I have been fortunate enough to go on California’s a few years back and just recently Paris’s, It’s unfortunate to realize that Florida’s is def the weakest by haven been truncated so much. But I’d be sad to see it go too.

Losing this one hurts, it was a quintessential part of the Disney World experience for me (as a Disneyland native). Unless they are brave enough to somehow feature dinosaurs in the new Indy attraction, I doubt I'll get same mileage some will out of the upcoming experience. Thankfully, we got our final rides and photos in last year (along with Muppets).

Much love, DINOSAUR. Thanks for everything.
Were they brave enough to mention the concept of Energy once in the queue for GOTG?

I know you’re sort of playing, but I would be more nervous about Jungle Cruise.

Fortunately WDW has double down a bit on those attractions ironically with Beak and Barrel and Skipper’s Canteen.

JC footprint is massive though.
Skipper Canteen is already 10 years old. I wouldn't consider JC safe.

In the past 15 years, I can recall exactly one time I waited more than 30 min for Dinosaur. It was Christmas Week a few years back. And I only go to WDW during school breaks.

Yeah, I don't understand why there is the re-narrative that Dinosaur was somehow popular or not "underutilized" space as a ride.

It was clearly not a successful ride in terms of rider interest. It's low wait times were not a solely a reflection of high capacity. When you run the ratio of average wait time by operating hourly capacity, thereby controlling for the different hourly capacities of each ride, rides like Space Mountain, Pirates, Big Thunder, Rise of the Resistance, Everest, Avatar Flight of Passage, tower of terror, Guardians all show significantly greater rider interest than Dinosaur. And just commonsense tells you that: How many people has anyone spoken to after a Disney trip who excitedly said "I went on this amazing ride - Dinosaur (or Countdown) - at Disney! You've got to ride it!" I have heard that when Everest opened. And Avatar. And tower of Terror. And Rise. Even Tron. I've never -- not once -- heard that about Dinosaur. Very few people get off that ride and immediately felt a need to get back in line -- even with 10 minute waits. Whereas you see guests recycling back on Everest repeatedly in low-line situation.

It's low wait times simply reflect it just wasn't a very good ride. It was the Mission: Space of Animal Kingdom.

This was an easy and correct call here: the Indiana Jones versions of this ride system are far superior to Dinosaur, which was of marginal interest to most guests throughout its existence.

I’ve been told on 2 different occasions, by 2 different people, that they really enjoyed the “Jurassic Park ride” at Animal Kingdom.

I don’t understand why Disney would ever want to replace it!
