MK Cinderella Castle Set to Return to Classic Color Scheme

The current version is very disappointing in comparison.
I think the plan is to go to the somehow even more disappointing welcome: the inclement weather version where the announcer just comes over the speakers. There won't even be the pyro burst since crews will still be working on the castle.

That's what I'm hoping for tomorrow. It still has MK'S Anthem.

It is still shocking to me that a whole team looked at this and thought it looked great!
Why in the world would they celebrate the 50th anniversary by painting the iconic WDW Castle in the color of Disneyland's castle? It makes no sense at all....the southwestern pink with that gold painted trim is garish and jarringly ugly... I guess it is better without the purple roof color they did first.....
Can't wait for the return of WDW's Original and superior color scheme....

The answer (if we can call it that) lies inside $lappie's bald head.

Hopefully when the characters return to the opening show, they better NOT have the Friendship Fare pals and go back to the pre-2020 lineup where it would just be Mickey and Minnie (in their normal attire) alongside the other Magic Kingdom characters, we don’t need to have the same batch of characters for both this and the regularly scheduled castle show at the same time

I'm all for different Characters but the post 50th Soundtrack needs to stay! The pre COVID Castle Show never grabbed me and it got rid of MK's Anthem!

RE: Tortuga, instead of bad mexican food, why are they not doing Caribbean food...snack sized things like empanadas, Plantain chips with Mojo, Mofungo, and other caribbean finger foods... Give it a real regional flair...a sort of permanent Eggroll cart with Caribbean food... Lord knows there are enough Caribbean people in Florida who know how to make these things.... Having appropriate food to the theme of the area wuld be great....and if they are instagrammable, they would have a huge hit on their hands....
Jerk chicken…mmmmm….

Why not move the opening back to the train station? Yeah, it was initially moved because of security concerns but theyve expanded and moved out the security checkpoints as well as added them to the resorts since then. If people want to do bad things the crowds up front are still there regardless of the opening or not.

Besides, it was cool to hear and catch glimpses of the opening from the resort.

There's no more money to be made in front of the train station. The current format allows and encourages guests to buy merchandise, food and photos along Main Street for 30 minutes prior to park open.

Disney said that the pink color scheme was to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Cinderella, not the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World

50th Anniversary decorations were later added to Cinderella Castle

my personal feeling, anything that happened in or within a year of chapek or covid I give a pass too. So pink paint, I give a pass, weird choice, but happy it's over now. Bring on the white paint!
