DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Can anyone help me to understand how the Dinosaur layout differs from Indiana Jones? I know it's said to be the same (mostly), but when I think of my times riding both, I don't feel like Dinosaur has the same level of layers and depth

Is it a similar layout, but flatter? Trying to figure out what a new version of Indy could be like, in a gutted Dinosaur. I'm assuming no grand expanse, bridge moment, pit below?

It is the openness that makes the IJ version so great... seing the bridge, feeling the vastness of the temple space... Dinosaur in all it inky blackness you really can't tell where you are or where you are going..... I never cared for this version as much as the original...
I agree completely!

if you are visiting for your last ride - be sure to take some time in the restaurant - some insanely cool stuff.

Original art from Fantasia and of course the Joe Rohde mural.

Security has apparently been posted to wander - I’m guessing some are trying to take decor? Kinda was staring me down even though I was just taking photos - a little odd for Disney but whatever. Haha.

Perfect. So unless they dig out the floor, we likely won’t see the same level of depth, but they could potentially still open up into a big open scene - I think?

ETA:

Watching the lights on video, it seems the Dino that runs out at you may be below the scenes above. Where the “bridge” cross would be. Maybe there is potential?

Yup! I’m in that line now! People dressed as Dino’s, people dressed at Dr. Seeker, etc.

This is good to hear, I was worried that the last day might not be as big as people might've chosen to say good bye while the land wasn't an embarassing, depressing wall corridor.

I'm working on my outfit. I was surprised at how underdressed I was at Rama compared to other people, not making that mistake again.

It's really noticeable that stuff has been disappearing when you're there all the time. It's most easily seen in the Hip Joint (room with the white floor in Restaurant O'saurus). The room was full of painted rocks and there are obviously spots where they have been ripped off the windowsills.

In my tribute thread I posted pictures of a letter to the interns and professors which disappeared shortly after and never returned.

A note from Dr. Dunn that wasn't behind glass was ripped off the wall in the Boneyard.

People have been pretty bold about it.

It's not realistic, but I hate to think about all the cool things that could've/could be saved from a landfill if Restaurant O'saurus and Dinosaur Treasures got a "take one thing from the wall" policy on the last day. There's so much stuff everywhere.

Think Indiana Jones at AK will be open, multi layered like one at DL? That's best part of Indiana Jones Ride is driving into that room....

I will bet that anything that requires major reconstruction of the building won't happen.

Seems like the last days rush to ride has really begun. I don't think I've ever seen DINOSAUR at an hour.

I would not expect a large, open room. Definitely a different approach with our version, but i don't think that's a problem.

Have an open mind. I don't personally want a clone of a 30-year old ride.
I don’t think people have an issue with different.

I think it’s more that the big room & boulder rooms are the best parts of Indy, so removing one of those two is like removing the launch from Rockin’ or taking away the warehouse and making it inside.

“Sigh” why can’t we have nice things without people stealing or vandalizing?
