Just to be clear, are you referring to the reported notice of commencement filed on Dec. 16 2025 specifically naming Intamin as the contractor and “specialty equipment” as the description of improvements? Two park news sites are reporting that the parcel location is specifically the Lost Continent. I have no clue myself whether or not those numbers match. What are your thoughts?

Regardless of what actually happens, I’m still going to root for UO getting an intamin Dynamic Motion Stage attraction some day. 😃
Its been debunked by Alicia Stella yesterday

A certain "news" site that can't be named here has yet to correct itself

Yes, I am referring to that notice. Lost Continent hasn’t even been torn down yet, so there’s nothing there for Intamin to do between now and the end of February 2026 when the notice says the work will be done.
Thank you. OK, deleting original post and indulging in my wild flight of fancy in which Lost Continent stays outwardly as is and an Intamin Dynamic Motion Stage becomes “Poseidon’s Furiouser.”

Um… I’d rather they build a straightforward clone/adaption of Epic’s Monsters Unchained (One of the best dark rides on Earth) than water down Universal Monsters with Hanna Barbera cartoon characters. Or any cartoon characters.

And as any Scooby fan knows, Scooby crossovers are not nearly as good as “pure” Scoobies. Except for the one with KISS; that was insane off-the-rails gold. 😄

That isn't what this is. It's just for Fanfest. It's just a Halloween Horror Nights maze not an actual attraction.

I assume they will bring back the lackluster Star Trek maze again. That one really needs to be a HHN maze featuring the Borg.

Universal Orlando’s Rip Ride Rockit replacement has been officially announced, and it is: Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift. Those last two words have taken a lot of people out here by surprise (No East Coast Drift? Orlando Drift?) Personally disappointed with the theme, but I can’t wait to see the Florida version’s layout. All that’s confirmed so far is a 170 foot vertical spike towering over Citywalk.

Universal really doesn't want me to spend money at the Hollywood park. If everything out here is a slightly worse version of something in Orlando, I'm just going to do Orlando every 3-5 years rather than Hollywood every 8-10 months. SLOP is the only reason to visit USH, and that's not worth admission.

Transformers was announced for Orlando within a year of ours opening. Now Fast & Furious has been announced before the doors have even opened here. One wonders if someday we’ll get a signature E-Ticket and Hollywood’s sister park won’t look on shouting, “mine, mine!”

This is a wild take and I’d imagine one that is shared by very few people. Most USH annual passholders and locals couldn’t care less what’s in Orlando. SLOP was a nice addition for a park that needs kid friendly and non screen based rides but it’s not driving attendance. Also if we want to talk unique attractions wouldn’t the Studio Tour be a better example? Even if it’s not something you probably want do every visit.

With all that said, even I, with no real dog in this fight was disappointed to hear that it’s Hollywood Drift replacing Rip Ride Rocket. But if it is in a spot where you can’t really have it be fully fleshed out, themed and with a show building attached then I can understand the rationale of putting a clone(?) of Hollywood Drift there.

Miami Drift was right there or Vice City Drift...

I am very disappointed that it’s F&F, but that’s balanced out by the confirmation that Supercharged is going away, going away, going away!!!!!!

So far, the detail I’m happiest about is the 170 foot spike above Citywalk. That’s a win for the whole resort.

I agree that the Tram Tour was, is, hopefully always will be USH’s signature, reason-to-visit attraction. It’s the origin, heart and soul of Universal Parks.

On another note when are we going to hear more about what’s coming to USH? Kind of annoying Orlando just got Epic Universe and all the Universal news/ rumors are still about that park and the Orlando resort in general.

Orlando and Hollywood's Hollywood Drifts are at least going to.be different coasters with different layouts, so enough differences other than the name to make them unique.

Once Hollywood Drift opens this year, I'm hoping we'll start to hear more about what's replacing Supercharged as that's been closed for nearly a year, right?

Hopefully. Yeah I think it’s been about a year.

According to Dev, USO is getting SLOP too. Would be nice if USH got clones of Monsters Unchained and Hagrid tho.
