I dont think DHS will get touched... SWGE is extremely popular at DHS and tends to be a ghost town at DL
That doesn’t mean they won’t eventually change things, especially if these alterations prove popular. There’s also the fact that Star Tours may end up on the chopping block down the road, which would eliminate all other locations for the Darth M&G.

True... but I'm guessing DL is adding all of this to fix a problem that doesn't exist at DHS.

If DL can make SWGE more popular (people eating, shopping, and just hanging out there), it opens up the rest of the park... which in turns allows them to open up more AP reservations for some days, sell more APs, and sell more food.

DHS on the other hand won't really gain any extra $$ for disney by adding these characters.

I can only share my experience, but when we visited in June 2024, SWGE was always busy at Disneyland when we went back there - but no clue how that compares to DHS. 😅

What genius came up with this cutting edge idea? 🙄
You will never be happy with anything, will you? This is exactly what fans, including folks here, have been saying needed to happen from the beginning. Now that someone at Disney is listening and doing something people actually want to make a land better, there's still a problem with that for you?

The problems aren’t the same, but having genuinely popular M&Gs and shops with more varied merchandise would potentially help overall capacity, with which DHS struggles. It also just generally opens up way more possibilities with the heretofore unused table service space and any potential attraction expansions.

I think the issue is that SWGE at DHS is already pretty crowded... Adding something like a Monster's inc Door Coaster, or a place for animation characters come out of art work for a M&G probably helps the capacity issue at DHS more than trying to get more people into SWGE. (IMHO)

Also FYI I would love to be wrong and see this at DHS... I just don't see Disney justifying it.

I think the "current" timeline could have been fine if they'd delivered on what they promised. When Rise opened and you had a decent number of characters around it almost felt like a real place. But even that was a "cutback" from what they'd sold us on. The interactive elements fizzled and the aliens still haven't arrived. I guess they've given up

I know not likely but I'm curious if there will be ride changes down the road. SR is in a good place timeline wise but RotR would be a little weird when Han and Luke are running around. Maybe they don't care. They probably do not.
