MK Piston Peak and Villains Land Construction Thread

Using the ToS tool, what does the distance from any hotel in any state to a park entrance have to do with Piston Peak and Villains Land Construction ?

People keep making wild guesses without any reliable source backing it up.

This time, seeing the laydown yards cleared, they jump to the unlikely guess that that is going to be the site of a new in-park hotel.

And when one person makes that spurious guess, others latch onto it like it was an insider revelation.

And then that leads people proffering their opinions on in-park hotels and a general discussion of the topic, which is off-topic.

My "reporting finger" is twitching...

Not sure I agree with their assessment that nothing interesting to see will occur in 2026. By interesting, I assume they are defining that as vertical construction. I wouldn’t expect that on cars before July, but I sure would before January.
Yeah, I agree. He clarifies in the comments section that he does indeed mean vertical construction, but I also don't agree with that.

so when are we expecting new construction in ground as it looks demo and site prep is at least almost over?
It not only isn't close to being ready to go vertical it is currently nothing more than piles of dirt and a few pieces of heavy equipment. The demo was just maybe one tenth of one percent of what is going to be needed to do all the electrical conduits and water drainage, clean and dirty water infrastructure. Getting in the surveyors to mark all the elevations and contours of the engineered plans, before and during the earthmoving part of it which, trust me, is no small or quick task. Everything has to be contoured and compacted by machine or by hand and once that is completed, building the path and soil mix needed for the running water and the small waterfalls (unless they use plastic river beds), but they still have to be slanted downward from some high point, then and only then they can start putting in foundations. After that they can start the steel placement. All buildings wired and plumbing installed, finish interiors, make sure the water features all work as planned, build the road that the "cars" will track on, install other animatronics needed, landscape to look like a state park that has been there for years. Work out the bugs that every new attraction usually has before startup. After that, if you live long enough it will open and we will have yet another 2 minute ride in a crooked circle.
