These updates to Big Thunder sound great - hope there is enough magic in the remaining imagineers to pull it off. I wonder if they are gazing in horror over at the horror show happening in Rivers of America. I did hear rumors that with Epic Universe finished - some of the imagineers are making their way back to Disney. There may be hope yet if we get rid of Iger soon!

In his latest video he says that work on the ride specific stuff, such as the new track, trains, and maintenance building may have taken up a lot of the budget for this project and the rumored dynamite explosion effect may have been cut because of this.

He also has this article (which was from August, mind you, but I never even saw it till now) addressing the new show elements, which says the project is rumored to be well over budget, but something may still be added to the third lift scene. Gold bars at the top of the lift hill.

Any insiders know anything?

“Touches” sounds like they’re downplaying any updates. Not surprising.

Disney doesn’t recognize May as spring. That’s why new Soarin starts May 25 on Memorial Day because Disney sees that as the start of summer.
