This was such a stupid period in WDW history.
The current one? This was such a stupid period in WDW history.
You are in Florida... why wouldn't a car be going past in the background?Never noticed the car driving down the street in the background about 6 seconds in. The gift that keeps on giving.
For (most of) those who got to do it... this was a highlight of recent WDW history. This was such a stupid period in WDW history.
A stupid period in Disney history that also includes converting Splash to Tiana's and erasing Zip a Dee Doo Dah from Disney's soundtracks. This was such a stupid period in WDW history.
On behalf of all the vloggers, farewell Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. They will miss you. For the rest of us who never had the “pleasure” we’ll always have this gem.
The 1000 vloggers who were comped? Or the 100 people who actually paid and now have to wear a bag over their heads like the unknown comic at the gong show? For (most of) those who got to do it... this was a highlight of recent WDW history.
Did I mention the Lego titles? That’s when you know things have gotten away from the handlers…A stupid period in Disney history that also includes converting Splash to Tiana's and erasing Zip a Dee Doo Dah from Disney's soundtracks.
More like a blooper. Failure highlight. For (most of) those who got to do it... this was a highlight of recent WDW history.
…queue Benny hillMore like a blooper. Failure highlight.
While the project failed, it was a more like 100 comped vlogger rooms and thousands of paying customer rooms over the 18 month run. And everybody who finds out that we went says that they wish they could have gone or that my son was "lucky" to have had that experience. Other than a dedicated group on this site and youtube who are angry that the thing ever existed, that is.The 1000 vloggers who were comped? The bookings were pretty wide open after like 2 months…
It was not popular and obviously a loser for them.
Star Wars fans want STAR WARS…not Disneys “experiency” spin…
They refuse to just accept that and take a sizeable chunk of Gen X’s money. And since that is about to grow as the boom departs…what a tremendously bad business sense.
A trained circus dog could have done better.
It was a disaster…DOA. It was so obvious I don’t even bother commenting until it closed
Which by the way…I thought would last much longer.
I think the design of the place was a huge part of the failure... it was underscaled from the start...the Cafeteria style restaurant...the lack of epic spaces you would expect on an intergalactic cruise ship... The entertaianment was cringey and the whole thing was expensive and completely oversold for what the experience actually was....Agree but still think the core concept needs to be tweaked. I think Deluxe Star Wars hotel including some larping and/ or an actual attraction would be the move. And put in a really upscale cool dinner theatre restaurant. Not that cafeteria with LED lights they built.
It could have been, but it’s not really needed. They’ve been building new facilities over by Western Way. This would just be a weird little thing stuck next to nothing. Was there no way this could have been retrofitted to be CP housing?
I could see that…there would have been ways to profit off it with some unique things and high demand that could have been sustainableAgree but still think the core concept needs to be tweaked.
