I'm so curious on what the "reimagined" project will be. When do you think they will announce this? It seems kinda weird how they just announced a Pixar experience out of the blue during the Fisical year presentation. Did this Pixar experience replace the "reimagined project"?..
I don't think so as they're advertising the Pixar experience as being fully funded by the resort, whereas the Marvel and Reimagined Paroject are part of the original investment partially from the government (to put it simply)

Good point. Hopefully they could announce what this "reimagined" project will be in the next 5 years...

I’d just like them to move a little faster

I don’t really know exactly what the infection point for Hong Kong Disneyland is; where it begins to runaway under its own success like Shanghai; or if such a situation is even possible with the makeup of the GBA. But it’s obvious that whole frozen propelled the park forward it still hasn’t reached that point

I’d really like them push harder for that point. What’s after TOT, when the outer loop with Pixar is done and TOT is open what will the park do next. It still needs to hit that point where its own attendance becomes self sustaining

Especially since it’s going to soon be hit by the next wave of Shanghai getting a second gate. How do you justify yourself as the only resort with no second gate and no downtown Disney

Well they (HKDL and government) are still negotiating for the second gate to happen. But for that to actually come true, they need these to be set down first.

It’s not even necessarily the second gate though that plays into it. It’s the “what does HK have to do to put itself on the map”. Could it be the second gate……maybe. Is Disneyland Itself ready for the a second gate…….i also don’t know. But what will it take Disneyland to be a destination in its own right. A position Shanghai seems to hold but Hong Kong doesn’t

Hong Kong Disneyland is also facing strong competition from Chimelong in Zhuhai, just a short ride away. Not only has that resort recently opened a second park, but its main park (Ocean Kingdom) is now nearly as popular as Shanghai Disneyland. Among locals, one is clearly regarded as the major destination resort and the other as a smaller regional park.

True I’m not even considering chimelong ocean kingdom here; I also believe chimelong has another park up in Guangzhou (with ocean kingdom barely being over the border from Macau) also in the GBA

The park is hemmed in on multiple sides and its current attendance seems to show a return to check out what’s new without a solidification. The window is closing for Hong Kong to break out of the regional park window and have a place alongside Shanghai and the chimealong’s and they still seem to be moving at a snails pace

Shanghai is a concern but if the two chimelongs eat the GBA’s population then the attendence could collapse before the park can solidly it

In the short to medium term, I think they need to get better at pitching themselves as a base for a shorter Hong Kong vacation for families. In this regard, they could also take advantage of increasing nervousness about travelling to the United States in places like Australia to offer an alternative Disneyland vacation plus a range of excursions to the surrounding region.

Perhaps I am way off on this, but I think they need to build up the 'resort' element of the complex to give people a reason to stay there for longer periods while waiting for a second park to be viable... if it ever is.

Further to this has anyone got the average occupancy levels for the 3 hotels ? I did see them in a report once

I'm curious on whether they will decide to update Iron Man Experience with the new Avengers tower. It's sad how at the end of the ride, you can kind of see the original idea for Stark Expo and we're not getting that anymore...

Also I found that the projectors have to manually adjusted for every show which I find very weird and awkward, especially when waiting for Momentous... (you can literally see the mapping being adjusted every 5 seconds). They also have an Disney Ent. technician walking around to report adjustments.
