Hi,
We’ve been over multiple times but never in July… potentially got a really good flight deal if we move out holiday from last two weeks of August to the last two weeks of July…. How much busier is it in July vs. August?
Thanks
Last 2 weeks in August is a ghost town. Many schools are back in session across the country as are all local schools
Paging @lentesta
Summer is no longer a "peak crowd" season, probably because of the heat.
@Matthew The second half of August is usually slower than the second half of July, but the difference this year wasn't noticable in WDW. Things like staying on-site and rope-dropping Early Theme Park Entry are going to have more influence on your wait times than dates, in that situation.
What exactly is a UK school fine? Thanks all.... we swapped flights for four of us from the UK for 1K (with return leg premium) and 100k airmiles and then managed to swap from All Star Sports to French Quarter for just £500 more.
In terms of visiting time thanks to the stupid UK school fine system were limited on when we can attend for the foreseeable vs. when we have previously visited.

Thank you. How much would a parent be fined and is the amount increased depending upon a number of days being out?Parents who take their kids out of school get fined.
England is much more punitive in that regard it seems.
Scotland does allow for it, but schools here work with attendance officials and parents, if a pupil’s attendance slips. It’s a more conciliatory approach. Taking a child out of school for a week wouldn’t trigger a fine unless there was a persistent problem.

I think maybe £80. Each parent can be fined too I think, that might be a new thing.
Thanks for the explination. We were very lucky because when our DS was young his teachers allowed us to take him out of school for our WDW time, but they did send lesson plans that he had to work on to keep up with his class. Fortunately DS was an excellent student with top grades so there was never any problem. When he reached High School the demands were greater So we put off any WDW trip for 4 loooong years. It's a bit long to explain but the short of it is that basically if we take our kids out of school for a holiday over 5 days each parent gets fined. You can have two fines in a three year period before getting taken to court... personally I'd take the fine for a cheaper holiday but my wife is of a different opinion and happy wife... happy life. We compromised on him missing the last day of the school year and got a bargain on flights.
