News Disney plans to accelerate Parks investment to $60 billion over 10 years

That feels pretty low just knowing they spent, what, $450m on Cosmic Rewind alone?

I would guess:
Tropical Americas: 1 billion
Piston Peak: 750 mil
Monsters: 750 mil
RnRC: 50 mil
Animation: 50 mil
Zootopia: 100 mil
Villains: 1.5 Billion

So 4.2bn? maybe another couple hundred mission for overages, so call it $4.5bn?
The logic was was using was TSL=$250 mil, I think Tron was like $300 mil, GOTG: $500 mil, and SWGE: $1 Billion

Tropical Americas is only really building 1 new ride and 1 flat ride then giving a facelift to the rest of the area. I hope it doesn't cost as much as SWGE ground up. Maybe $300 was small, but 1 Billion seems big

Piston Peak is a tough one, using GOTG at $500mil I would be surprised if it costs much more than that... but maybe I'm wrong

Monsters again compared to GOTG. The actual coaster I assume will be cheaper (not as innovative), but the land refresh could push it to $700+

The rest I can get behind.

Don't forget the transfer payments to other divisions within the greater $DIS institution.

If they take a page out of Disney's own play book, they would name it Villainous Springs....because when it becomes difficult coming up with a new original name, just add "Springs"....
So Disney Springs in 2015 and Fantasy Springs in 2024, the only two, right? And both weren't just named that because they couldn't think of a name, but both involve a "spring" present that's part of the story? Not quite sure what you're getting out here

Nearly 30 new dining locations? I wonder how they calculate that number.

I guess if they're including snack carts etc.
Bit late but wonder if it includes all the new restaurants at the hotels and Disney Springs. I thought I'd actually check how many new dining locations have opened since 2016 that I could remember:
13@ Parks: Tiffins, PizzeRizzo, Satuli Canteen, Baseline Taphouse, Woody's Lunchbox, Takumi-Tei, Regal Eagle Smokehouse, Space 220, Connections, Roundup Rodeo, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, GEO-82, Beak and Barrel,
12 @ Wider Resort: 4 at Riviera (Bar Riva, Topolino's Terrace, Le Petit Cafe, Primo Piatto), Galactic Starcuiser's, Summerhouse at the Lake, Gideon's, The Edison, Marie and Enzo's, Enzo's Hideaway, Salt & Straw, Chicken Guy

A few more I could come up with:
The Polite Pig, Spice Road, Wine Bar George, Jaleo, Story book dining, Ale and Compass, Geyser Point, Toledo, Dahlia Lounge, Barcelona Lounge.

30+ seems to be a legitimate claim without massaging the truth or even leaning on the full weight of Disney Springs redo or snack carts.

Saratoga Springs.... Coronado Springs......
and the Springs in Disney Springs used to be a black water retention pond... Not a true "Springs"
Are people seriously complaining that like over the span of like 30 years, that in separate locations across the WDW complex, they have used the word "Springs" 4 times within the name of something? This is level we have come to to find things to complain about? I mean are we also decrying the idea that multiple rides had the word "Mountain" in it, and none of them were actually built on or made out of real mountains? Or how about how 2 of the 4 main gates have the name "Kingdom" in them, and I don't actually think either has a ruling monarch or were developed on land with a royal charter?

Story book dining?

Imagine if people saw a jab at the company that was weak.. and just let it go as not worthy of responding too..
I'll be honest, when the same person repeatedly posts something completely irrelevant to a thread to make said weak jabs, just to derail the thread, it's hard to keep ignoring it. Disney naming something Fantasy Springs last year has no relevance to them investing 60 billion into the parks division over 10 years
