How much of the budget for Florida would these projects take up? I suspect we will have a similar number of announcements toward the last five years of the decade as well.
Just a guess...
Tropical Americas: 400 mil
Piston Peak: 300 mil
Monsters: 300 mil
RnRC: 50 mil
Animation: 50 mil
Zootopia: 100 mil
Villains: 1 Billion

I get 2.2 Billion for the parks... but this is just not based on anything

I’d estimate a little less than half is spent. The generous top level read is that it’s 75% of last decade (2 major lands and 1 minor with 4 notable new build stand alones versus currently 1 major land and two minor and 1 stand alone). Of course there was a lot of cosmetic work that went into the relaunch of DAK/DHS/Epcot that is under-accounted for. So yes, they should comfortably be able to give us everything announced a second time volume wise.

I’ve always said 150% of last decade with 200% of the money.

Much, much too low. Probably easily triple. Look to 7.5B Epic.

Epic was also overbuilt and had to deal with mitigating concerns from its very location (and its neighbors), plus building out the entire site from scratch (with all that entails). Disney could have, in theory, built the same park for half the cost on current property.

That feels pretty low just knowing they spent, what, $450m on Cosmic Rewind alone?

I would guess:
Tropical Americas: 1 billion
Piston Peak: 750 mil
Monsters: 750 mil
RnRC: 50 mil
Animation: 50 mil
Zootopia: 100 mil
Villains: 1.5 Billion

So 4.2bn? maybe another couple hundred mission for overages, so call it $4.5bn?

Indeed. Then this list is missing Lakeshore Lodge and everything they’ve done already because technically the capital plan started Oct 1, 2024. Then throw in that 30% of the spend is merely for broader resort capex and not new build capital spend. That’s how it easily reaches 6+.

This I believe is the second or third instace where they straight up call it "Villains Land" instead of villians-inspired land, like monsters and cars.

This might be the final name after all, hopefully

The other options would be stuff like "Dark Kingdom: the World of Villains"

Villains Land aligns with the rest of the classic MK lands
Villains are varied characters, not allusions to a particular theme or genre that might give you an idea of what to expect from the land. Liberty Square and Main Street also already break the “pattern”. I’m still hoping they come up with something a bit more cohesive that is reflected in the name and placemaking.

It could be Villains Land on the map (like you said, fits with the naming convention if the park) but then the village can have a separate name as well ... Sort of like how it is Tropical Americas but then the village in it is named Pueblo Esperanza

Yeah I could see the village having its own name, following the DAK and SWGE mold of "real places"
