Trip Report Food, Flowers & FARTS… Festival Fun In 2025

I’m taking a page from @Tuvalu 's playbook and combining our 2025 adventures together. Perhaps I’ll even keep it (mostly) updated?? Lol

Thank you all in advance for joining along on our adventures! I have so much fun sharing with all of you! ♥️

Let the festival fun begin…

Ross looks SO different without his enormous winter beard, it cracks me up! Thanks for sharing your trip. They are always fun to tag along on...

I'm jealous that we will probably never see the new terminal at MCO. I wish Art had a place at the OG terminal. Then I could swap our traditional "last meal in FL at McDonald's" to a (probably much more) tasty last meal at Art's!!

I LOVE Terminal C! I am so hoping that JetBlue remains there - I heard a rumor that they are moving back to A/B. :( I never liked that there was never ANYTHING post security at A/B.

I also heard that you are allowed to go to Terminal C to eat and shop. I'm not sure of how to go about it, but it's worth checking it out. It's soooo nice! Besides Mickey D's is good, but Art will win me every time!!

Ross is starting to work on his winter beard.... Let's see if he changes his mind for F&W... lol

It was wonderful to sleep in this morning. I actually had had a bad dream and when I woke up, I didn’t know where I was. It took me a few seconds, and then I realized I was in WDW.

We relaxed for a while before making our way to the west depot to catch a bus.

I have to say… I know Riverside is a tremendous resort, but I liked the location of our room. We were really close to the west depot, which was great because it was the first to pick up and the first to drop off.

Where would we go?? Honestly, we decided as we walked to the bus. It was a choice between Epcot and Studios. As this bus pulled up, we had our decision.

By the way, this was the MB Ross chose. Needless to say, Hope was VERY happy!

After we tagged in, we saw Guardians was posted in 60 minutes. I didn’t think it would get any better, so we headed that way. Even though it was posted at 60 minutes, we were in the pre-show room in about 40.

Now as most of you probably know, Hope still, thankfully, qualifies for the DAS pass, so Ross and I are not use to walking through the extended queue. I took pictures and texted Hope along the way. Actually, we played a game with her… every now and then, I would text her a random picture and she had to guess where we were. GoG stumped her for a bit until Ross reminded me that she had never seen this part of the queue. He also suggested we should try to have her walk through it because she would probably like to see it all. However, I am VERY hesitant to do that. There is a reason dear husband why she has a DAS pass. I would hate her to have a bad experience here. Maybe one day we will attempt Early Entry and give it a shot that way.

After that, we went to SOARIN, which was posted at 30 minutes, but was pretty much a walk on.

It was a beautiful day out. We rode figment and watched the Pixar film festival before heading out to world showcase.

It was weird being there without any festival boots open. But at the same time, it was nice. It didn’t seem as crazy busy as Epcot usually is.

I stopped at Joffrey's to get a cold brew and discovered their pass holder drink offer.

Each park and DS had a special passholder drink. They gave you a card to get stamped at each location and if you got all five, you would get a special prize. Challenge accepted!!

We made our way to France. Like father, like daughter…

Then we did something we had never done before and that was to ride Remy single rider. Ross really likes this ride, but we didn't want to wait in the heat. It was the right choice, it was basically a walk on.

Some things I do not understand...

We made our way around world showcase. It was a beautiful day. We ventured into the annual passholder lounge. It's nice to have a place to relax and cool off, but it was underwhelming. Could they at least have cold drinks?

We went into the Japanese store and I picked up a couple of packs of Pokémon cards for my girls. Both are avid Pokémon card collectors.

We continue to make our way around world showcase, stopping in each country and just taking our time. Ross was having fun discovering what his new MB could do...

IMG_4870.JPG

Then we made a way around once again to get to international gateway we need to get the Skyliner. It was time to make our way to dinner. But where would we go?

Topolino‘s Terrace at the Riviera resort!

I really wanted to go here. I actually hesitated and almost canceled it a couple of times. Why? Because it’s a signature restaurant and it sort of has a dress code. Unlike my hubby, who does NOT have a dress code. I didn’t want to battle it out with him. I did ask him to wear a nice shirt. He did agree, but of course I forgot to pack it and he was not going to go out of his way to pack it at all. He said they wouldn’t care. I actually packed a skirt and top to change into, but then I felt bad. I know he didn’t want me to change, so we both just made our way in. We were a little early so we sat in the lobby and relaxed a few minutes. We perused the gift shops and checked out the quick service that I had heard so much about. We made a note that if we had time, we would be good to come back to get a bite to eat here. I checked in at about 4:45 and soon after I got the text that our table was ready. We made our way upstairs to the restaurant. Once upstairs I have to admit I felt a little uncomfortable. I knew we were totally under dressed. They were very nice about it. And they promptly sat us at a table in the corner. Lol I didn’t mind at all.

Our server was fantastic. I’m kind of sad that I didn’t get her name because I would’ve left a cast compliment after. Dinner was crazy delicious.

The only downside is I was so full afterwards. I could’ve stopped eating halfway through my meal, but it was so delicious, I really didn’t want to! We couldn’t pass up trying dessert. They gave us an extra special treat because it was our anniversary.

IMG_4917.JPG

After we gorge ourselves with food, we sat out on the terrace for a little bit. Obviously, we were way too early to enjoy the fireworks, but it was wonderful to just sit and relax a little.

In all the times I have ridden it at DLP, all but 2 have been single rider; the single rider line is usually a walk-on and we end up doing it 2-3 times in a row. We were in EPCOT last week (was it only last week ?!🤯) but it was way too hot to walk back there from where we were to see if the single rider line was working so I have still yet to experience it in WDW. But like Ross, it is a ride I really like too.

I didn't like the single rider when we were riding as a family, but yeah, I guess I have a new appreciation for it. lol

Gotta say, I love the "message" on the blue t-shirt that Ross wore! (I'm sure he didn't buy that shirt at WDW!) ;)

It actually is a Disney shirt! We bought it at our Disney Store before they went out. If you look closely at it, you will see it's a Monsters Inc shirt and it has Mike Wazowski and Sully on it! it's one of his favorite shirts. I'm trying to find another one on ebay for when it's done.

So glad to see you both having a fun and relaxing trip. While I love going to Disney with the kids, I look forward to when we can go just two of us again.

It was hands down the most "relaxing" trip we have ever had. It was amazing!
