MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

No, the reason the vast majority of people are here is because they have an interest in the Disney product that exceeds their vacation needs.

And why they are on a WDW fansite for years, and why they don't do the same for Six Flags, the cruise ship they were on, or the mexican resort they were last at.

I'm not sure who you're white knighting for, but you've made this weird now.

The vast majority of people here are either planning for a trip or keeping up on Current Events to know when to plan a trip.
This site would be a terrible resource for people like this. When I’m planning a trip to a Disney property I’ve never been to I go to Disney Tourist Blog (Tom Bricker is the best!).

This is a fan site for discussing the place.

There are whole subforums dedicated to trip planning, hotels and restaurants.

Regarding "running from reservation to reservation", that's a you problem (generic you). You don't have to do the park this way. Even without FP/LL or any other skip the line feature many people just go from ride to ride. There is a certain element to these systems that enable that behavior for sure. I've actively had to change my mindset to not fall in to those traps.

So I understand that. But you can have just a good time not doing that either. I've done so recently.

Regarding the "why are you here" comment - you personally still go it seems, but mostly at the resorts? So that makes sense why you're in these forums.
Like mine, that is one persons experience, not all. Regarding the above bolded section. I currently do not go. I started going, almost religiously in 1983 to 2019. That's 36 sometimes very active years out of 42. I didn't abandon the place, they pushed me out economically! I am retired and can't afford to spend money on something that I once loved partially because it was affordable and I didn't feel like I was being fleeced constantly. I don't hate Disney, in fact, I still respect the original concept and a place that welcomed everyone regardless of financial status. That is no longer true and in order to enjoy it at all requires deep pockets and willingness to spend every moment planning and trying to figure the best way to see it all without having to declare bankruptcy when you get home. Many people may go from ride to ride but without paying extra the number of things possible are greatly lessened without paying. If you have been there often you might have a specific number of must sees, but to me if I can't see them all within a reasonable time I feel less than satisfied,

I don't even mind them closing some fun attractions to make, what they considered E ticket things that really aren't. Why do they do that? To have a reason to make you pay more or stand in line for crazy amounts of time to see them without paying extra. I do object to where and how they are making space for "Cars" even though I think it will actually be a very good attraction. They have plenty of room to put it somewhere without taking out the most scenic and interesting vista in MK. That and leaving so many locations abandoned and not making any effort or expense to change that.

My WDW was a whole lot less technically advanced but a whole lot more fun and affordable. The problem of lack of size in Disneyland and the blessing of size that WDW promised became as big a detriment to the average person as the lack of size. It's just not the same feeling. Better attractions? Yes indeed, but the overall feeling is gone, at least for me. I guess I like the Disney Parks. Things change and I probably have changed more than they have, but I still like talking about the place as well as conversing with so many people that I have never met personally. That is why I am still posting on the boards and sometimes expressing my dislike for some of the things they are doing or have done to ruin my personal experience, If that's a problem for others, so be it.

Gotcha. I read "we stay the site" as "we stay on site" like you just do resort stays.

So how many of those mature trees are we losing for this project? 90% + ? That’s sad. Since people like to use Walt quotes (often times misusing them) I’ll throw this one out there…

“…even the trees will keep growing. The thing [the park] will get more beautiful every year.”

Iger:
"Cut down the trees. We need to sell more LLs!!!"

This may sound silly...but what about all those many trees recently lost for the laydown yards?...most of those were there when Walt explored the property by foot & by plane. It's not as cool a fact as how Walt frequently walked throughout Disneyland, but it's the closest connection to Walt that the FL property has.
