Thanks. I expected it to be cancelled when they finally started. I didn't know how late they could delay because of the schedule. Sounds like they just delay the fireworks and cancel the second parade if it goes too late. Good to know.I don’t know - but for outdoor attractions they really only have to cycle the ride and reopen.
For the parade - they could have to dry and re-test each float, perhaps the lightning delayed them being able to stage the floats and props…. Lots of possibilities.
For all the faults of Disney - the ability to operate in all kinds of weather is still very impressive. Most parks would simply cancel and send everyone home.
