This area should be a pinnacle of creativity within the stratosphere of Disney parks... When the Theme is Imagination it is ridiculous that it ends up having 1980s technology in it's once amazing fountain, a very poorly done diminished version of the signature attraction and nothing else. Honestly I would have preferred them to leave Communicore alone completely and made Imagination into a multi-attraction centerpiece for the park....

I got to go back to Epic Universe this weekend, and I stayed to see the "goodbye" show in Celestial Park. I had no idea the entire area was synced like this - and it now makes sense why so much of the lighting looks a bit plastic during the day. The show literally takes place from the main fountain all the way to the main entrance. Much of the lighting on rooftops, light poles and - yes - in the ground is part of the show. I watched the show by walking from the fountain back to the main entrance, literally surrounded by it. It was one of the more impressive pieces of theme park immersion I've seen in a long time.

It made me really sad to think what EPCOT could/should have been - given that they had the same amount of time and arguably even more creative power than the "folks" down the street.

While the show itself isn't perfect and it does just happen once a day, I would highly recommend anyone who likes the idea of Celebration Garden's lighting to stay for the final show should you find yourself at Epic Universe.

Disney does not have more creative power anymore. They stopped hiring/promoting based on merit about a decade ago. As such all of the talented people left Disney and went to Universal. Disney is creatively bankrupt now.

So that’s why Fantasy Springs is so bad! They stopped hiring good talent 10 years ago. Darn it! I really wanted to go see that too!

Lemme tell the people waiting 90 minutes to get on Cosmic Rewind that they don't know what they're doing...

Eh…. That’s tricky...
It’s popular. Yes.
It’s fun. Yes.

Is it a great example of what Disney imagineering is capable of? No.

I mean, I think everyone at Disney (and most fans) believe Cosmic Rewind is a roaring success. It may not be what some hope from Imagineering from a creative perspective, but it's certainly a successful ride.

So is Dumbo and the teacups. Both of which I rode, along with Guardians, on my most recent trip. All of them provided a fun experience.

I guess Fantasy Springs could show us they can do things when they have a budget and are working in Asia... In Florida I suppose they feel we no longer deserve top tier design and immersive environments....and the rubes will buy stuff no matter what..... THeir successful brand which has been cultivated through generations of guests enjoying the creative and immersive environments not longer feels we deserve what we all fell in love with about the Disney parks... Now we deserve what is most efficient for them...Oh yeah and there is another price hike coming! Have a magical day.

No idea how you come to this conclusion. Over the last 10 years, two major lands were made that are incredibly immersive: SWGE and Pandora. The only disappointment would be Toy Story Land in the immersive environment department.

I don't consider it one but i am a EPCOT "purist" who thinks an attraction about energy is still relevant especially now so what do I know?
