Walt Disney World Ride Elimination Game

They have a bland seriousness that comes from EPCOT's nonfiction roots, but with minimal edutainment value and more of an emphasis on physicality...a smart Eisner compromise between the thrills the tourist market was demanding and what EPCOT's DNA was. At least in theory, I like that approach better than ramming IP down everything's throat in obsessive pursuit of maximum synergy. But these rides share a certain flatness despite their good qualities (and Mission: Space has other problems as well).

Yeah, I think bringing thrill rides to EPCOT was a fine idea, and I respect the attempt to make those thrill rides integrate within the broader thematic framework of the park, but I their execution on those ideas was poor. There are lot of ways you could have had thrill rides that fit EPCOT but were more dynamic than M:S/TT/Soarin.

But I agree that they are preferable to the tacky oversaturation of movie franchises that has defined modern EPCOT attractions.
