Walt Disney World Ride Elimination Game

My nominee this time is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Not only is there already a mine train just around the corner in Frontierland, there was already a perfectly good Snow White ride in a place where now there's no ride!

And although the 7 wee fellows are obviously great characters too, there's not enough of the queen/witch who makes such a terrifying impression in the movie...kind of similar to how they downplayed the villain/tension in Tiana to ruinous results. I recently had the pleasure of doing the Paris Snow White and was delighted to find it's pretty faithful to the Scary Adventures spirit (the one in Anaheim unfortunately seems more softened).

I can't believe that we killed Tron. My vote is still to eliminate the Land (I like Living with the Land, but the other rides are better...including Tron).

I don't dislike TRON, but a) they shoehorned it awkwardly into MK in a way that squanders the drama of its architecture, b) it loses about 30% of its value by daylight, and c) as everyone can't help noting, it's just too little juice for the squeeze.

I'm still pushing 7DMT; I shall continue to stan The Land. I'm glad to see Carousel of Progress punching above its weight, though the writing's on the (rotating) wall for it the next few rounds. In both of those cases I'm concerned Disney may soon take this whole elimination thing literally...no need to give them any extra encouragement!

Another reasonable choice at this juncture would be Test Track. I haven't tried it with the updates, and the outdoor loop is exhilarating every time (more fun than anything on Dwarfs), but the indoor portion has always been meh.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train has been eliminated and voted out! I like Mine Train, and think it's cute, fun, charming and has a really neat indoor dark ride section, but do think there are much better Disney coasters, and I wish the indoor dark ride section was longer and had more to it. It also always has such long wait times, and it's a ride that is really hard to get onto unless you have a Lightning Lane. It's very smooth and not too intense, and the theming is excellent and quintessential Disney. It's overall very enjoyable. I just also find it overrated in some ways too, as it's solid but there are better rides in WDW. Vote for what WDW ride to be voted out next!
