GOING, GOING, GONE! :-(

How far back? Remember the ticket book? We’re 360 back to the original Ticket book in many ways….

Way back in the day we had the Ticket Book and piece rate….

Bummer so many things have been taken away, pulled back and now allow you the privilege to pay additional….restrictions on what was entrance whenever we were compelled, and now the Park Reservations staying in place for APs….

But….lets not go all the way back either….still enough Magic for my peeps to come down quarterly or better….
I think you and I see things practically the exact same way.

Honestly, I don't understand this need for people who have become disgruntled with Disney to continue to participate on a fan board. I see the comments of the OP differently from those of other individuals who may be concerned about some of the choices Disney is making at WDW. The latter group still want a connection to the parks and still continue to go. The former seem to just want to stir the pot before proclaiming that they are off to Universal (or someplace else). Aren't there fan boards for these other parks? If you are truly disgruntled with Disney and don't want to go to the parks anymore, then great. Go get a life and stop spending time on a fan board for a community to which you no longer want to belong.

I don't mind it, if not a Disney forum, where else can they let out their frustration?

It bugs many that posts come from especially those who have not been to Dis for many years and are not planning to go back at all, but they want to be included here. Some like the continued attention they get. Some like to stir it up and see how they can get under other peoples skin. Some say they want to keep posting in hopes Dis will notice and they will revert back to better days ( As if they have the power to get Dis to change... we know that will never happen) Some have nothing better to do but post because it helps them stay relevant and someone will go along with them.
It happens in all the Disney sites not just here. It happens in many other forums, not just Disney ones. It's the internet and that gives all the opportunity to be heard. It's their right to have their say irregardless of where they come from or what opinion they have and if you don't like their posts, don't respond to them and skip over them.

I still remember being upset at my grandma when she wouldn’t pay extra for another “c” ticket….we didn’t realize when riding Peter Pan we were forfeiting our ticket to Mr. Toad….

An unintended result of the current tiered LL is happening at DHS. Toy Story is tough to grab a LL as has little competition in the lower tier…..used to be a fairly easy Fastpass….

I think you may have misunderstood a bit of my post. First, I tried to differentiate between those who post criticisms in hopes of effecting some change or even with a desire to stay a part of the community. I was trying to single out those people who have declared that they are DONE with Disney! The ones who proclaim that they are never going back and are completely disconnecting. I never said they didn't have a right to post, nor that I couldn't just skip over such posts. What I did was post what I termed a rant about why such people feel the need to proclaim that they are done with Disney. After all, if people are really done with Disney, wouldn't they simply spend their time with something else instead of trying to engage a fan community?

Here's what I think. I don't think such posts are as innocent as they may seem. I think they are attempts by individuals to sow discontent among the fans. Now, before people react, I still believe that such individuals should have the right to post, and that their posts shouldn't be censored. However, I do think we should see the posts for what they are. These sorts of proclamations, where someone lists a series of grievances against Disney while also proclaiming that they are NEVER going back and are DONE, is the online equivalent of rage quitting in a crowded room and asking "Who's with me?" before storming out.

My last WDW visit was 2019 does that exclude me from making comments positive or negative

If the people who will tell you everything about what’s going on the ground in Florida RIGHT NOW…who only blow through town every couple of years or longer were to go away….
Then it would be a bit quiet around here

A lot of expert opinions are formed due to faulty memory/recollection and not enough exposure to see changes in the little things that become “big things” over time

Oh I did not misunderstand your post or the points you were making. I just added more onto my answer.

No. Your signature says a trip was as recently as in 22. I'm talking about those who haven't been back for many many years, are not planning to EVER go back and have not stepped into a park or ridden an attraction and want to talk as if they are experts on what WDW is about.

2019 was pure suck. It’s never been worse…

You should try it now…with all the big crowds that Forget to materialize 340 days a year 😎
Says you lol. We took the entire family in 2019 and had a great time despite the crowds.

I did prefer the less crowded parks in 2024 though. I’m hoping things improve even more before our next big trip in 2027.

Sounds like JT. In his case though it was also questionable as to whether he had actaully been at all.

I don't agree with PTSD.

I call it PISD (Post Iger Stress Disorder). In think it apropos. And it sounds exactly as it is spelled.

Just walk into any therapist and say "I'm PISD". They'll immediately know that it's a Disney session.
Of course…

You better patent that ASAP…before someone tries to rip that off and does a cheap infomercial with it 🤓
