Very happy to not get Simpsons. And b) if this happens to free up $$$$ for other mid size upgrades throughout WDW (cough Figment) it is a good move. Instead of pouring a half billion or more into a Simpsons land.

LoL. ChatGPT will be quickly fired for adding in those little rest areas. The biggest news no one is talking about is how concept art shows them adding 22 benches in this area.... We might be witnessing the single biggest increase in walkway seating any of the parks have ever seen!
Got to laugh that Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris us often considered the worst Disney Park, yet WDW is happy to duplicate its Ratatouille, its Animation building and now its name. No wonder they're chaning the name of the park to Disney Adventure World, so Hollywood Studios can get the Walt Disney Studios name![]()
I was thinking the exact same thingThe unthemed buildings don’t bother me, but I do laugh at the effort that was made to paint so many of them sky blue or slightly themed just for them to now go back to painting them soundstage beige to make it look like a studio again
This new green space in the middle of animation courtyard, plus the new green space where Studio 1 used to be should help reduce a lot of the concrete wasteland feeling of the front of the parkThe biggest news no one is talking about is how concept art shows them adding 22 benches in this area.... They need to restore the green to Mickey's nose in the center of the park as well. The cut-through that went under the hat is kind of awkward and can sometimes confusingly force guests to have to double back to get to the MMRR queue entrance because they assume there will be steps down at the rear. This new green space in the middle of animation courtyard, plus the new green space where Studio 1 used to be should help reduce a lot of the concrete wasteland feeling of the front of the park
Maybe it’s because this concept fulfills a much more pressing need in a park it is more appropriate in. And it does it via a concept that retains some of the original tone and intent of a version of this park people miss. Most people here were happy when the Play Pavilion died but for some reason we’re all giggly about its second coming.
Honestly that's a shame, because this feels like a good return to form for the park. Once Upon a Studio is one of the best things the Disney Company has done in years and having an attraction based on it is exciting. If Runaway Railway wasn't already made, a Once Upon a Studio dark ride would be PERFECT for the parkYou might hear more about it at D23.
I don't think this is a permanent thing at AC. My guess is it's a placeholder while they figure out Phase 2 of DHS expansion.
Both?!The Muppets are coming back for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. They're also part of both sets of future plans I've heard for the flex theater next door once the Villains show's run is done. Fingers crossed.
You’re not alone. I don’t see any downsides to this. It’s the first time to my knowledge that Disney brought back an attraction from the past- in a new form- but it’s actually embracing something the park was meant for- movie magic. I think it looks great too and could be a more laid back area of the park compared to the chaos of Toy Story and Star Wars.I hope it’s done well and I hope it lasts. Unlike many others, I actually see this as a major win (shocking given my recent attitudes towards most projects). They needed to put the Disney Studios back in Disney Hollywood Studios, and this seems to be doing just that.
