Despite the claims by some here Penske Media who owns Deadline IS NOT owned by Disney. Penske Media is owned by Jay Penske who started the company. Who also coincidently is son of Roger Penske the owner of Penske Corporation who among other things owns Penske Racing.

Other than the normal studio relationship with media there is no known connection between Disney and Penske/Deadline or the other media companies they own.

Friendly reminder that if the reviews are good it’s because Disney paid for them 😉
God I hate that whole “critics are paid by Disney,” crap rhetoric.

This whole thing started when James Cameron was accused of being paid to praise Terminator: Genisys but really got worse when The Force Awakens got great reviews, despite being a crappy OT rehash, and when Batman V Superman got divisive, if not rotten on Rotten Tomatoes, reviews from critics, causing the fans of BvS to think “Disney/Marvel paid the critics to trash DC to prop up Marvel.”

Really they just weren’t good movies.

This whole “studios pay critics or other people for good reviews,” graph rhetoric needs to stop and end.

Deadline, which also tends to lowball a lot and used different tracking than independent box office trackers.

I’ll believe the independent ones over one owned by Penske Media, which is also owned by Disney.

You are (deservedly) going to get blowback about this. You can’t flip flop on sources when it suits your argument.

I’m calling it out early because I doubt others behind me will be so kind.

I think at least AMC will be having it. I considered getting it but I don’t feel like spending $80 for a popcorn bucket. Plus, I don’t know where I would pull put a popcorn bucket that huge.
Looks like it'll be both at AMC and Cinemark, not sure others but at least will be at two chains I go to.

And for something like that I would put its on a shelf somewhere lol.

Another Approved Website™️ (in this instance, The Hollywood Reporter) joins Deadline in the pre-release tracking range to be between $100M-$110M.

There is also reporting the budget is north of $200M.
