MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Im having a hard time seeing how this will be nothing but a berm of rocks around frontierland, with a small creek and a lot of different small trees here and there, maybe some geysers, with nothing more to do than the cars rally in the middle of and or on the backside of it and that's it. And the view from Liberty Square is what, just more of the rock formations and maybe some tall peaks closing in the area? (Going to be an extra hot park without that river) See they are plopping something down in the middle where nothing around it fits now except for maybe the jamboree and on around. The mansion is still unknown, it’s all creating a mish mash, all they have shown us is a silly cartoon map. Thats not convincing. I want to see something convincing, all I have heard about in the interviews they have done are rock designs, and seen a kindergarten style map.

It’s not a full land so yes it’s only 1 or 2 attractions in the middle. However, I think Imagineers are going to be careful about what they put around the outside edges. I don’t doubt that Thunder, Mansion, Tiana, Country Bears will all have something themed similarly to their area.

The more and more I read the hyper negative feedback on this closure and see who it’s coming from the more I’m convinced the majority of the angst is driven by locals.

To them the MK is just their local Disneyland. The further it gets from being their Disneyland the more uncomfortable they become. Dont believe me? Just start to pay attention when you see possessive nouns getting used such as "this is OUR park".

The thought that if they want to visit Disneyland, they should actually travel to it like everyone else is just unfathomable.

Don’t tell me I don’t understand the importance of the river in that area and how it subconsciously affects people. I understand that point. I also understand how guests at the MK and their behavior differ from guests at Disneyland and how that river has far less of an impact at one park than the other. The absolute refusal to acknowledge that point by one side prevents any meaningful discourse to take hold.

This conversation has fallen so far in the dumps that we now have people saying this change reminds them of exposed steel coasters at other properties. A statement that couldn’t be pulled from anywhere other than a rear end.

You just contradicted yourself because you’re trying to paint people who dislike the change as nothing more than poorly adjusted people who cannot accept change, which isn’t exactly meaningful discourse.

Are you a local? Do you visit both coasts regularly?

I’m not a local and I have both an AP and a Magic Key and was premier almost every year it was offered (I skipped one in the middle! Haha)

“A”for effort on that response - a snack/quick service location that no one can get to without waiting 15 minutes to ride a raft there - And what do you mean things that could have “kept” the island popular? When was that ? Was it anytime after the internet was born ?

I mean do people seriously think some new animatronics and "fun scenes" would it into a top tier attraction? They could build a free buffet out there and I still wouldn't bother.

This is correct. And when some of those folks express their knowledge and it goes against the narrative of a number of people on this board, their knowledge is dismissed and ridiculed. I myself have been called a liar and an attention seeker here for sharing what I my know because some here cannot (not pointing fingers at you) accept what they are being told. And they are wrong in what they post.

I go approx 1x per year. And I know I’m generalizing - but it’s hard to imagine some posters spending so much time posting 95-100% negative posts for something they continue spending money on. I think it’s a logical conclusion that aren’t even customers , but of course there are probably exceptions

I think a thread like this you will see “some posters” posting 95-100% negative. But in other threads you’ll see positive thoughts as well. For me personally, I just posted that I liked the test track re-do and the new freestyle soccer show in Germany.
