In the old days, September was a slow, off peak time.

In my opinion, the theme park population has learned this and now September is no longer a slow time.

Not sold out via the UK site, I've tried several dates.

But this depends on several things, like the actual dates and durations and whether certain resorts and/or room types are not currently being offered in some regions or to some agents, or not participating in the current offer/discount, or having a maximum number of rooms in this particular offer which has now sold out. I fall foul of this a lot in the UK, for example no All Stars currently available for any time in April or May next year that I can find, I'm pretty sure they won't be sold out.

I just looked at Pop for mid-Sept (the 11th-18th) and there was availability. Maybe the offer you chose is gone. What dates are you looking at?

I see you're from LaX. Grew up not too far from there and still have family in the area. :)

Try using the website to book instead of calling.

No
September really isn't a slow month anymore.
It will definitely be busy until after Labor Day.
And with all the MNSSHP's, F&W having gained in popularity, people just in general shifting from summer to fall trips its become more popular.
August is the new "slow".

Do you have a big list of what large competition groups are coming to WDW?

Dis has been and will remain the place to vacation, despite the economy, the Uni build or a political admin. All the low crowd time of years were changed when people started booking those dates to avoid crowds. Enough parents are willing to take kids out of school temporarily to go. And looking for travel deals when flights may be lower, off season rates for hotels or travel costs are decreased.
As long as you stay away from the most crowded holiday season weeks and school vacation dates you will find at least some lesser crowds. But there is no real off season any more.

Meega, nala kwishta!
Just did a little checking around for the last two weeks in September, and I don't see any for Pop for those two weeks (for a full week stay). However, there are plenty at the All Star Resorts.

Also, the website does say that the Pop is undergoing renovations on the rooms and lobby at that time. So that may be affecting the availability.

A few things that may help:

-Try to speak to someone in a management position, explaining to them you were expecting September to be slow.

-Ask for an explanation as to why there are others vacationing in larger numbers than you desired, during a time when you want to vacation there.

-See if they can offer you some sort of compensation, or at least cancel some of the other reservations during that time to make way for your presence.

Hopefully something works out, and the crowds thin some for your upcoming trip.

Pop is also almost no longer included in resort offers. Why? Because of being connected via Skyliner directly to HS and Epcot. I'm going on another trip in October. It will be my third time in a row staying at All Star Sports because of the lowest rate.

Did a September booking from the UK yesterday for Pop on the website, no issues at all and was showing availability for practically the whole month.

I needed to add a night to the beginning of my trip and was able to. Looked and called on Monday, there was nothing. Looked again on Tuesday morning, and there was availability for a standard room with the stay longer and save more discount. I booked with no problem. Just checked and it is still available under that discount, but is showing as not available under everything else.
